+1 it doesn’t matter what the truth is, it will be a nightmare of inflammatory rhetoric.

I am so excited about voting for Harris. But if she chooses Shapiro, I’m sitting this one out.

Why in the world would you do that?

I’m guessing because he’s Jewish.
Oh, excuse me, I mean pro-Israel.

The anti-Shapiro person may not know Kelly is married to a Jew and he is pro-Israel, like the majority of people in the country. We may not block streets and burn flags, but we actually are a majority.

Shapiro is a an extreme Zionist. He has passed laws making it illegal not to invest in Israel, pushed for the arrest and imprisonment of anyone who questions Israel, unconditionally supports Israel even when it is against the US interest, refuses to recognize the existence of the Palestinians, supports the annexation of the West Bank, etc.

The US has spent 8 months trying to free the hostages, have ceasefire in Gaza, avoid the killing of 2 million people and put a plan in place to give Palestinians a hope for a life. With the assassination in Iran Israel has just destroyed any chance of that happening. Shapiro supports that. So Shapiro has chosen Israel’s naked counter productive aggression over the US interest. Why would anyone want that type of person as the VP of this country?

I like Shaprio because he can carry PA, but his pro-Gaza war stance is a problem. Kelly is a good pick for AZ and his military service is a plus. He also may help with her weakness on the border. These are her two best choices.

Agree, we don’t need the noise of Shapiro. Too risky. Please stop saying pro-Hamas! Not a single college student supports Hamas. They are pro-Palestinian and recognize that Hamas is enmeshed in the Palestinian population.

Harris should have stuck with Cooper. I know he bowed out, but their long standing relationship, double ticket AG, and well regarded in PA would be the right fit. Her pick needs to swing the battlegrounds. I don’t think Buttigieg being gay will matter. He’s a household name, incredibly intelligent, unshakable, well spoken but keeps it simple for the masses. He can make an impact.

There are 13 openly LGB members in the House, and 2 members in the Senate + Lindsay Graham and others, for sure.

lol okay.

Meanwhile, at *Georgetown

It was *George Washington University. Only 4 students. Not making excuses for them, but “Glory to our Martyrs” is ambiguous. I get this term has been used to glorify terrorists, but I don’t believe the students were referring to Hamas. The deaths of innocent Palestinians, especially the children, are considered martyrs. I know it’s a reach, but students are not sobbing over the deaths of Hamas. They’re protesting the maiming and deaths of innocent children. From the River to the Sea was also projected. Just don’t think they truly understand what that means. Again, no excuses. I have a college student who didn’t join protests. His perspective and students at his university are more measured. They condemn Hamas. They condemn Netanyahu, too.

This is the same as voting for Trump. Don’t be a spoiled brat. Governing requires compromise.

Then you compromise. Why must everyone but the pro Israelis compromise? You people re so selfish and extremists.

I compromise every time I vote because no single politician or ticket agrees with me on every single issue. You’re thinking like a teenager, “me, me, me” at the peril of the whole.

Me too, but it seems we are a dying breed for sure. I know both progressive Dems and conservative Reps who don't want to compromise. The "all or nothing" mentality of “me, me, me” at the peril of the whole is why we are living in a very polarized society.

Exactly. This is the entitled behavior of the pro Israeli dems. It is time for them to compromise. We would not be in this situation if it was not Biden’s unconditional support of Israel. Biden’s number tanked as soon as he hugged that regime.

Haha. No. OP's prediction that it was going to be announced 2 days ago has long since come and gone. She will announce before Wednesday which is the deadline to file in Ohio. Probably Sunday night or Monday morning. She's going to want to hit the media first thing Monday morning and have the days to promote the buzz before the deadline.

You pro Israelis coordinated with a foreign government a violent attack on peaceful UCLA college students on camps. You also removed Ivy presidents because they were not sufficiently supportive of Israel. It is time to get behind American not some foreign country that does not share our(well US)values! Any foreign country who has the power to arrest protesters in the US is a clear and present threat to the US.

Just to be clear - there are no laws forcing people to invest in Israel. And, Shapiro hasn’t suggested this. More anti-Semitic “Jew bankers running the world” nonsense.

Earlier this week, it was said that the VP candidate will be announced on Tuesday in Pennsylvania. My understanding, which may be mistaken, was that it came directly from the Harris campaign, and that the only speculation that remains for the general public is the name of the running mate.

Without our government's unconditional support, do you think the pro-Israel sources would have donated 50 million dollars to fund American political campaigns in the past year? Careful what you wish for.

But a boring safe pick didn’t help Hillary.

Kelly is great and not dramatic. I guess being a fighter pilot and astronaut is dramatic, in a good way?

Toxic masculinity.

Seriously! Do not be this naive, people. I have sympathy for all students because they are young and still learning and they are GOING to do stupid stuff. But can we at least be honest about what that stupid stuff is? There are plenty of young people who support Hamas without realizing they are the useful idiots who any terrorist would be more than happy to slaughter

I don't see what's toxic about it.
