HARRIS IS SELECTING MARK KELLY

Like all her choices. Voting for her no matter what. Kelly is probably the safest choice so I hope she chooses him.

Shapiro seems like drama.

But a boring safe pick didn’t help Hillary.

Kelly is great and not dramatic. I guess being a fighter pilot and astronaut is dramatic, in a good way?

Toxic masculinity.

I don't see what's toxic about it.

And the man is devoted to his disabled wife, sheesh.

+1 this thread makes it clear how little substantive criticism would stick to him. Shapiro differs in that respect. Walz is more of an unknown quantity, but I suppose could easily get the “socialist” tag.

FWIW my preference is Kelly, because I like his demeanor and I like astronauts.

But for all you guys know, Kelly is an even more staunch Zionist than Shapiro. His surname just isn’t Shapiro.

Kelly does not have the track record like Shapiro. Shapiro is same as the poster calling everyone pro Hamas and attacking Ivy presidents.

Kelly threaded the needle successfully, offering more nuanced support to both sides and suggesting pro-Israel efforts have some humanitarian contingencies.

Get Shapiro out of mind.

He isn’t going to work well with Kamala, her husband Doug, Hakeem Jeffries as Speaker of the House and Chuck Schumer as Majority Leader of the Senate at all.

All of these guys have made pro Gaza statements which according to Shapiro should get them marked under 24/7 surveillance and detention by Department of Homeland Security and the FBI.

Perhaps Shapiro would be better off considering a run against Netanyahu for Prime Minister of Israel.

+1 his position was not identical to Shapiro’s.

Mark Kelly is the son of two retired police officers. Born and raised in NJ, Senator of a swing state (Arizona), replaced John McCain in the Senate, is retired US Navy and NASA Astronaut, tough on immigration . His wife Gabby Giffords was horrifically shot in the head but survived the assassination attempt (counters with Trumps assassination attempt story), and he’s an advocate for safe and responsible gun control

He came out and said we should condition aid if humanitarian conditions didn’t improve in Gaza. What we don’t know is if Shapiro would have made a similar call as a senator.

Pelosi appears to back him and she was the one pushing Biden to step down as he was jeopardizing the swing district House members.

Me either and I'm a woman.

I thought Pelosi backed Walz, her former colleague.

And I actually think the opposite. I think that it is positive masculinity. You can be masculine and still not be sexist. You can be masculine and still be an equal supporter and partner of women.
