| You can tell the boomers who are confused that the world has changed from when they were a child. Never ceases to amaze me how narrowminded some people are. |
Please stop. Nobody cares. |

It’s just the current trend in higher education.
Ivy’s out. Directional schools in. SLAC’s out. Out of state flagships in. |
Are you talking about George Mason? |
+1. BU was always more of a commuter school than Northeastern - maybe that is what is bothering this poster? |
My neighbor's child went to BU. Great kid, loved his time there. He lived off campus after his sophomore year. Met other students from all over the world. He's doing well now, working at P&G. All these Boston schools have become top notched- BU, NEU, BC, Tufts, Babson. If you can afford them, the experience can't be beat. |

Boston, being surrounded by other highly motivated and intelligent students, the co-op program, the outcomes and being part of a school on the rise.
I don't want to pick on any schools in particular, but contrast with the quality of students that NEU gets today versus a school like Syracuse. Night and day the trajectory of each school. |
+1 The Boston area colleges scene is special. Even Emerson gets some love. |
My BU child knew nothing about hockey, but the hockey tournament known as the Beanpot really drew him in. His friends attended all the games with the other big 3 schools Harvard, BC, and Northeastern. It was really quite the experience. |
I doubt that schools like bc and BU care about playing Northeastern. Sounds like NEU boosters trying to manufacture a rivalry. |
What are you talking about? Didn't Northeastern (both men's and women's teams) win both Beanpots again this year? It is a Northeast tradition. Tell us you don't know anything about the Northeast without telling us you don't know anything about the Northeast. You sound like a bitter DMV native with no connection to anything. Sorry for you. Just stop with these posts. You are tiresome, immature and ignorant. |
It is! It does! Such fun traditions! |

So you didn’t live in Boston. I lived in Cambridge for a few years and I never said I lived in Boston. They are two very distinct cities. |
