I get that, but nothing about that tells me West Potomac is the second best team in Region C. |
Didn't Robinson lose 9-3 to Indy, who then lost 10-3 to Langley? |
. I don’t think so. Last time they played I thought Robo beat Indy 12-5. |
No one has lost to anyone yet. Hayfield kept it close to Yorktown for a half and was leading West Po at half in a scrimmage. They start winning and losing next week when all the coaches have the same priority and implement a game plan and scout. No one is scouting for a scrimmage or showing much on offense. Mad, Rob, York, Langley, McLean, LB, West Po, and Hayfield will all compete for there region IMO. With Madison and Rob having the best chance to come out on top. |
Yep. It's fun to speculate but the season starts next week. Some great week 1 matchups with Madison v. Riverside, Yorktown v. Robinson, and Battlefield v. Briar Woods. |
Madison v. Riverside (MADISON by 8) Yorktown v. Robinson (ROBO by 4) Battlefield v. Briar Woods (Battlefield by 10+) |
I completely agree. I'm all for speculating and the season is better for the back and forth IMO, but talking about preseason results as if they're anything but speculation is the individual using confirmation bias. |
That said, would still like to hear some McLean insight from the preseason, including how they looked against Potomac last week and tonight v. West Potomac. Lots of don't sleep on McLean chatter but no real information. |
I like the call on ROBO and I think Madison wins but not by 8, maybe 4-5. I don't think Battlefield has the offense to beat Briar Woods by 10 - I'll say 5 for that one too. FWIW, MadLax media currently has Madison/Riverside listed as the game of the week with live game coverage. |
any scrimmages this weekend? |
Only thing I am aware of is McLean/West Potomac tonight. |
|
How did it go? |
It was another very relaxed affair. They reset the score after every quarter. McLean was the better team but wasn’t dominant but I also don’t know how much they were really showing. Felt more like a practice scrimmage than a game. |
Agree with previous post about Madison winning by 4-5. Cannot envision a scenario of Riverside winning without that face-off kid, he is a game changer. |
