Please tell me more about Lisa Gore, who as recently as '22 was aligned with JLG, and what she has planned in terms of crime reduction.

Voting out JLG sends a message to everyone on the Council. Simple as that.

Yeah, that message would be that W4 voters got sucked in by the Potomac Fevers and other alt - Right twitter bots

Given how good JLG has been on every issue, yes, that's exactly the message it would send.

If this person worked in DC’s youth justice system, then she’s clearly part of the problem. That system is a failure, presumably bc of ppl like her who are out to get theirs.

"People who support the person I don't support can't actually be real people."

There was a car jacking on Monday near the Truist on Conn Ave. Now, that is Ward 3, but it's close enough to Ward 4 that this must be all JLG's fault. JLG has to go!

You're very bad at the internet. These are the kind of jokes boomers make there first week on Facebook.

Plenty of boomers in this thread making these claims in earnest. I'm not sorry that you're taking mockery of their position as personal to you.

Maybe your grandkids can help you post next time.

Why? Do whatever research you need on candidates. My personal experiences with crime and JLG’s response in my neighborhood shouldn’t affect how you vote. But it certainly affects how I choose to vote.

Christmas morning murder on Georgia Avenue.

‘Tis the season.

So happy to have a sane candidate running this year.

We need people on council speaking the truth. We need more police, and stiffer sentences. We need mandatory holds before trial. We need two strikes, you’re out laws. Amen.

You need to update the Constitution if you want to be able to hold people before trial no matter what.

Armed carjacking around 5th and Missouri last night. Major artery through Ward 4 and if Missouri/Military become soft targets like Blair Road has, we are truly fcked.

I have to drive home late at night due to a work commitment and rather than cutting through on Military/missouri have begun going around on the beltway and back into NE. That stretch through Ward 4 feels like you’d be a sitting duck.

Strange, I drive/walk/bike that area all the time and it isn't an issue at all. You seriously drive, what, out Conn. Ave and then back in on New Hampshire or something?

This is around 11-Midnight. I take Western to Military etc. but instead take River west to the Beltway and around.

Maybe you should take some of that added commute time and listen to an audiobook on probability or statistics instead of reading this site and crime Twitter.

Continue to downplay nearly 1000 carjackings a year in our city.

Multiple armed robberies in Petworth last night. It’s really not safe to be out after dark, even on your own lawn, anymore.
