Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
Ohh FFS suggesting that we change the calendar to remove the Jewish holidays is not anti-Semitic. No more than suggesting we remove the state laws requiring school close on Christmas, Easter is anti-Christian. You are acting unhinged previous poster. |

Did you complete ROUND 2 of MCPS Traditional Calendar 2025-2026 Survey?
-your role/relationship to mcps -race/ethnicity -where you live -which forms of communication would be helpful in order to ensure students, staff, and families are aware of Student Transition Day (August 25, 2025) -what considerations for we still need to provide clarity on as we move forward with the early planning stages for student transition day 2025-2026? Draft A 8 day winter break, last day of school June 17 Draft B 10 day winter break, last day of school June 22 -which draft calendar do you prefer based on winter break? -which draft calendar do you prefer based on last day for students? |
| Definitely longer winter break! |
| What do you all do if kids have 2 week winter break? I don't like longer winter break because I have no where to go. I have taken PTO this winter for a week plus, and we are still thinking what we should do or where we should go. |
They need the break. Teachers need it too. What to do over break is always an issue for almost every family, even though most families won't admit it. Nevertheless, a longer winter break is needed. |
Draft A. I'd rather go back after Labor Day and drop a few of the days off during the year. But that will never happen. |

|
Start after Labor D.
Longer winter break. End date whenever required days completed. |
