I think the latter. Both ladies are manipulative and have mean streaks. Team neither! |
I don't think it is. She's a 70 year old woman who was married to her high school sweetheart until recently. I think it's in poor taste to gush about your amazing connection with a man to a woman who is also "dating" him, but I think she's clueless more than malicious. |
I don't think Joan is the woman for Gerry. He seems like a sweet man, but not every lovely encounter equals a "romantic connection".
I think he wants to love Ellen but the chemistry just isn't there. I still think his final three will be Leslie, Faith and Teresa, with his choice being Teresa. |
These descriptions fit my parents in their 80s and 90s and even then, they didn’t have all of the problems you describe. The 60 and 70 year olds I know are doing pretty well and many look very good too. |
So two women have gone home for family reasons. I would think it would need to be something major to leave a once in a lifetime experience?
The drama between Kathy and Teresa seemed a bit much for mature ladies. |
There may have been things going on at home, but I think both ladies wanted to leave. |
I think she knows exactly what she's doing, and is one of those "clueless" passive-aggressive people. Kathy is just plain aggressive. |
Does anyone know Joan and her family? Is her excuse for leaving legit ?
Wonder if it all part of the drama and she will be coming back. Or maybe she wanted out. |
So agree! Loved that quick shot of Kathy and Theresa's faces watching Leslie's dirty dancing. I thought Joan knocked it out of the park...so umpressed. She's too young for Gerry...and the immovable facial features are far worse than just aging naturally with some smile lines and crows feet. |
+1 |
It was clear from the first episode that Kathy (Rhoda) would be the one stirring up drama. I can only imagine how embarrassing it must be for her to watch the show back now. Drama queen got her sympathy rose. |
Typo correction: ...so IMPRESSED... |
I agree. I’m not sure this is as much “fun” to live through as they try to make it look. I can’t stand April. Really like Nancy! |
I think the daughter was a convenient excuse, not saying there wasn't an issue going on but I'm guessing her DD already had a solid support system at home and mom didn't really NEED to be there. Bottom line if Joan was really into Gerry she would have stayed. |
Turns out Gerry's name is neither "Jerry" nor "Gary"...it's GEAR-EE.
Like Richard GEAR with and "ee" ending. We've all been pronouncing it wrong. |
