Oh, I am enjoying watching the online meltdown of dumb borrowers.

Why don’t you go do something that will put you on the path to being a better person? I’m sure that a local food pantry needs help today. You have problems, even if having crushing debt isn’t one of them.

I volunteer at a shelter actually. Upper middle class brats who were dumb enough to take loans out for their gender studies MA at AU are not in need like the people I see. Pay your loans back deadbeat.

Clearly volunteering hasn’t made you any less of a jerk.

No one is “hating” anyone here. This is about who has the authority for this level of spending, Congress or Biden.

I disagree. There is plenty of hatred, and it is mostly coming from a bunch of spoiled women who are some of the most privileged people in the world. But instead of being happy with what they have, they are acting like greedy miserable old hags and moaning about someone less fortunate than them getting something. Yuck.

Disagreement isn’t hate.

Well, they are insufferable people nonetheless.

Insufferable people can be right about the law.

They can be wrong too, just like the Supreme Court was. Weakest finding of standing in the history of jurisprudence. And BTW, right or wrong, they still have to look in the mirror every day, and the picture will not be pretty.

But they aren’t wrong and neither was the courty. Even Pelosi disagrees with you.

They were wrong to find standing in this case. Pelosi never said anything about that. Law 101, there must be standing to sue before the merits of a case are considered.

Missouri did have standing. The program “cut into Mohela’s revenue, impairing its effort to aid Missouri college students…This acknowledged harm to Mohela in the performance of its public function is necessarily a direct injury to Missouri itself.”

BS. MOHELA has barely any relationship with the State of Missouri. This was a purely partisan finding.

Court disagrees and provides a rationale. Feel free to disagree but that doesn’t get you anywhere. The idea that a president can unilaterally spend this much money without legislative authorization is absurd.

Great. A broken Court with six partisan hacks who are doing untold damage to this country.

Deep breaths. This will ultimately happen as a result of the new rulemaking strategy the administration is now pursuing. Plus, the amounts will be debited quickly. So all the weird weirdos cackling with glee about yesterday’s ruling because they were jealous about this, please know that it will be a short lived “win” for you.

Look children, we know adulting is hard. You’ve been raised by helicopter parents who gave you the white glove treatment your entire lives, then get shocked when you’re thrown out into the real world where you learn nobody owes you nothin’, you are not entitled to anything, and you’re not special. Nobody owes you free money to borrow for college with 0% interest rates, lol. Nobody owes you student loan forgiveness, lol. You signed a contract like an adult, now live up to the agreement.

And stop comparing to the PPP. It’s really stupid. The PPP was there because the govt forced businesses to close and shutdown the whole economy. That much govt intervention into private industry required the govt to compensate business owners. If we did nothing we would have been sent back to the Great Depression. Contrast that to student loans. No one owes you anything because you stupidly choose to go to an expensive ass private Podunk U for a worthless social justice degree with an underwater basket weaving minor. We all know you probably also used your student loans to fund living in a swanky apartment complex senior year and used part of it to fund your stupid Friday night bar crawls and spring break trips.

Rather than forgive loans, we should really be removing the govt altogether from student loans and give out zero student loans. If students can’t get money easily then college will get hammered and have to reduce costs and tuition. The economy wouldn’t be hurt that bad either, because 90% of degrees are worthless anyway. Whatever would we do without art degrees, english majors, and gender studies grads? Omg!

Pay your own damn bills.

If Biden thought going through the Higher Education Act would work, he would have chosen that route in the first place.

His new path will be challenged in court almost immediately.

It’s always a win when spending power returns to the legislature rather than executive the way our framework is intended. That benefits all of us, not just current loan holders.

The jerky thing is to expect someone to else to subsidize your gender studies degree. -new poster

Yeah, tell that to LGBTQ people who can now be openly discriminated against by businesses and women who will have to risk dying getting back alley abortions and women who are worried that they may be prosecuted for having a miscarriage.

So only spoiled rich kids like yours can go to college and screw everyone else who can’t pay out of pocket? Let them eat cake, right? People like you are why this country disgusts me.
