Spotify dropped Harry and Markle

There is no need for a spare in 2023. People don’t randomly die anymore, and anyone abdicating would cause the end of the scheme. Harry doesn’t matter for the monarchy so I don’t get why so many people are taking his comments so personally. The man is set financially because he (really, his wife) lives rent free in so many minds. Every click leads to $$.

If only the clicks led to money. Then we wouldn't see so much desperate flailing and attention seeking as their next big idea fizzles out.

Indirectly it sure does. You’re keeping them in the mainstream. I don’t think they’ll have the same level success, but everyone laughed at the Kardashians at first. Then they laughed all the way to the bank. Stop giving them so much attention if you really want them to go away. Resurfaced old news about Harry and Meghan has generated 17 pages here but nobody even bothered starting a discussion on Charles’s first trouping of the colour.

You are so naive. But keep the hope alive.

If Kris Jenner were Meghan's mom I might see your point. But she is not. Additionally, the Kardashians are at least somewhat in on their joke.

Now if you want to compare Charles news to M and H - if the Charles and Diana trainwreck had taken place in 2023 DCUM would be all over it. As it is, Charles' reputation still has not recovered and never will even with the best PR.

I saw a quote earlier that said something to the effect of “Harry is concerned/only cares about wife and kids. Megan is driving the car. Ari [the famous agent] is the grown up who is taking over” … but the way it was stated left me thinking Poor Harry… she’s going to leave you in the dust

Exactly. If the people hung on their every word, the ratings for the podcast wouldn't have been so terrible and they wouldn't have been canceled.

This, exactly.

Dior has Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence as faces for the brand. Women who have won awards in their field, in Meghan’s actual field, not that she was ever any good at it. Meghan doesn’t fit at all and it’s lunacy to say otherwise. I don’t think it’s happening, I think she and her fans and for-now agent are “manifesting.” Zendaya and Lupita Nyongo are at the Dior level. No one is going to see a Dior add with Markle simpering back at them, get real. I don’t think WME foresaw Markle being cast out and dissed publicly by Spotify. Should be interesting to see the spin going forward besides this never gonna happen Dior fever dream.

What does this mean? Where do you go to see Dior ads?

I think the only way Dior wants Meghan is to get Harry….. or someone bigger. Who are WME’s other clients? The way this works is if Dior wants Harry or another big celeb, WME will say they’ll set up the deal for the big celeb/Harry IF they give Meghan a deal.

Also, the only way Meghan got into WME is because she’s friends with Jill (on their Netflix mockumentary) who represents Serena at WME.

Spotify isn't happy with that, so they called them grifters. They are finding better opportunities elsewhere, that's all, folks. No need to twist it into your scathing narratives. They will be just fine despite everyone's attempts to watch them fail. The podcast won actual multiple awards. Meghan has just signed an enormous deal. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Sure. Sure. They keep Joe Rogan because he makes money. If the Sussexes were making $$$ they could say anything they wanted, too.

Exactly. It's all about the money.

I don’t get it.

They fancy themselves as do-gooder philanthropists yet they are shilling for a luxury brand?

And why would Dior want them? Why hire someone who is mostly ridiculed and couldn’t generate a sufficient following for a podcast?

I just don’t get it.

It makes no sense because it makes no sense. She’s unpopular outside of a small, terminally online set of lunatics. What high profile events does she attend where Dior would get increased visibility? Movie premieres? Spotify or Netflix events? Publicized charitable tours to other countries or to events other than I guess school shooting active crime scenes? That must be it… glamorous!

It’s not happening.

This is just another example of their hypocrisy. If they wanted to raise money for charitable purposes, they could have been focusing their efforts on that over the last three years instead of spending most of their time trying to make money. Why didn’t they do a podcast highlighting different social issues or charities or people making a difference in the world? Instead, their one podcast was essentially Meghan talking over her celebrity friends about all the ways stereotypes have harmed her.
