That is a result of indoctrination in the colleges, not education

education =/= indoctrination

You weaponize words and ideas because you don't know the actual meaning.

Hollywood is a great example!

And yet Steve Mnuchin and Steve Bannon made their money from Hollywood.

Because if they are rich, and live in bubbles, they will not be adversely affected by the policies they would force on others. Other than that, it’s probably the age old reasons of liberal guilt, self-loathing, and the like.

It's what conservatives like to think but the reality is that they're generally uneducated and low information people. They're also deeply resentful of the fact that liberal Democrat's culture has taken over to become the dominant culture in the U.S. Moreover, if you don't go to college, you have much lower socioeconomic status/class, some of which can be attributed to intelligence, some of which can be attributed to wealth. They just hate having their noses rubbed in it every day and are deeply resentful of becoming our society's losers.

I’m a hardcore progressive and limousine liberals is a real thing. Working class needs to unite against the wealthy of all persuasions.

So when wealthy progressive vote for and support progressive non-profits that advocate for higher wages, better working conditions, more paid leave, more healtcare, the working class should unite against them?

All of those struggles have only had progress due to the grassroots organization of labor. Not the elite.

This!!!
They implement policies that are not good for society ("Criminal justice reform," for one... it does not "reform" but creates chaos) but they live in rich enclaves that are not affected by their policies - they have gated communities, private security, and do not need to worry about the consequences of their policies.

Same here. I grew up poor and Republican in rural America. I worked my ass off and managed to send myself to college, and left rural America for a better job. During the Bush administration my eyes opened to just how bad the Republicans were and it's only gotten worse since. Yet when I go back to rural America to visit family and see old friends I see them still stuck in the same damn rut thinking the same dumb things believing the same Republican lies. It's sad, really.

I assume you’re talking about Republican plutocrats who certainly can do away with the social safety net and do just fine. No idea what policies the current Democratic platform would give you the idea of creating chaos or some domestic hellhole.

Not all rich vote Dem. But the majority do. And despite the assertions that the Dems are going to go after the Uber rich in the end they never have.

It’s almost like all aren’t actually “welcome.” I have to think that many of the rich people who live this way hate themselves on some level. They are truly out of touch.

It was once said of the Democratic Party: the very rich, the very poor, and idiots in between.
