The video of the person who was at her doorstep looked pretty ominous - - the person looked very very dangerous and I have a sinking feeling that Nancy was likely killed in her home -> prior to being taken.

I think the majority of people agree w/me on this……I think that people are probably cautious saying it out loud because of the sensitivity being that it is a celebrity’s mother.

I suspect the person might have crossed the border…where kidnapping is sorta common among criminals, and bitcoin makes this a relatively easy thing.

But most crime stems from some sort of relationship. In this case, I wonder if a caregiver, house cleaner, repairman, delivery person, etc. identified an opportunity and took it.

Or, sometimes crazy people just do crazy things. I think a crazy person wouldn’t have the foresight to remove a body…only someone with a plan to seek ransom takes a person dead or alive.

They might just be a killer for the sake of doing it. Psychopath type individual.

Right.

But killers don’t usually take bodies with them…or go the ransom route.

Maybe the ransom note(s) are fake, sent by opportunists, and this was a burglary attempt gone wrong and she was accidentally killed and body disposed.

This is what I was thinking as well. The amount of publicity on this case is crazy.

Burglars don’t take dead bodies with them.

Kidnappers take people…although preying upon the elderly, killing them, and then seeking a ransom seems like a viable option for someone who can easily cross the border and receive bitcoin ransoms. In fact, it sounds like a money making operation. And ICYMI kidnapping for ransom is a thing in Mexico.

How is he getting the elderly woman across the border?

For those of you talking about the border, do you realize that it’s several hours away from Tucson?

It's 70 miles.

And you just drive across. No one is checking cars leaving the US.

It’s only a little over an hour from Tucson to Mexico. Not several hours.

Do you know where Tucson is?

I think it’s possible he went across the border to flee, but I still think it is far fetched that he took her over the border, that would be an extremely risky move.

Laugh and Grind Official is a channel covering this story — the former Officer who runs the channel over there confirms it was Savannah who called 911

I agree. He is probably hiding out across the border, but he could have taken her across too. Maybe she died enroute or some time after. Maybe shallow grave in Mexico. If this guy is not a US citizen, even if they get DNA, if he is not in the database, FBI still would not be able to locate him. Is that correct?

There’s supposedly more video to come and audio but it’s being held to be released at a later date.

That doesn’t really mean anything. They probably had her call 911 while they were searching the yard, home, calling other friends, etc. Makes more sense for the locals to do the local stuff.

And tying that to the discussion about the other video, that might make sense if both of the houses are his clients. He tried one, couldn't get in, then went to Nancy Guthrie's next.

No one took her across the border. The perpetrator or perpetrators may be gone, but they certainly did not take an unwell 84-year-old woman with mobility issues and to Mexico. This is not a lifetime movie.

Or Savannah is the together sister who knows how to respond to a crisis. The local sibling is not always the most capable or reliable.
