or they just panicked and left as scheduled.

Look at the Idaho roommates. They did nothing for 12 hours, even though they saw and heard things.

Yeah the Idaho roommates behavior didn’t make sense to me either.

Is there a thread about the ID one on this site?

I can’t imagine letting my girlfriend get blackout throw-up drunk and letting her leave with a man we just met. And then shrugging off that she was missing the next morning? No, just no. Those are terrible friends.

+1

And seems like really weird behavior since “friends of the friends“ say they’re all “nice good girls“. Nice good girls would be alarmed if their friend were unable to be found after last being seen with a stranger on a beach at 5 AM. They certainly would not go off on a boat excursion because her friends behavior would be uncharacteristic.
Those girls made some bad decisions and choices. They will live with it for the rest of their lives. We all know that . They didn’t have anything to do with Sudiksha’s disappearance.

They did absolutely nothing to help find her. If they’d all acted more prudently, this incident would never have happened. Many bad choices.

Lies, reporting her missing to resort and contacting her family is not nothing. It was JR and CJ who did nothing.

His failure to alert resort at 10am or before is all the more curious given his claimed heroic actions and risking of his own life. Hmmmm.

There is nothing suspicious about the boys' behavior towards a literal stranger. Their behavior matches their recounting of what happened and all the evidence supports what they said happened AND what the friends said happened.

I bet you think its fine that her very close friends just hopped on a plane the next day after their friend disappeared.

Her friends are either sociopaths or she wasn’t actually their friend at all, she was just a late addition hanger-on to help off-set a group rate.

One of her friends on the trip went to TJ with her.

There are 2,000 kids at TJ, doesn’t mean they’re genuine friends.

You don't think the girl she Venmo'd on Thursday afternoon for the night before at Coco Bongo, who also graduated with her at TJ, and went to Pitt with her, isn't her friend?

A quick google shows her linked in. She went to TJ, is from Chantilly and goes to Pitt.

Right… the PP arguing that she wasn’t with her real friends on the trip is absurd.

Strong currents are dangerous whether or not one is drunk. People drown during the daytime too.

There are videos from the bar not long before when she appears so intoxicated she’s vomiting. She also appears to be walking very unsteadily in the video as she enters the beach

Thanks for the 165 page recap. AGAIN

DP. Some readers and posters are just catching up on this site after being on others like reddit. There needs to be a recap everyday. Who's going to read all the pages like a novel?

Date rape drugs.

The guy was also puking, at the bar, for much longer.

On page whatever many eons ago, posters speculated if a bartender(s) was involved after *someone* (not clear who and if it was a made up story) listed on Facebook or somewhere else that a bartender was into the missing young woman. This led posters to ask if mr bartender did something to her drink/s and his too since they both vomited.

I wish these hotels had more accountability in some way. While college kid 18+ are adults, they ARE marketing to them with these all inclusive party packages. You’d think they would have some interest in preventing these tragedies.

You’d be hard pressed to find one of these places that is vigilant about not overserving (heck even 50% of middle aged adults are probably technically over served at least one time per week long vacation LOL). But does the bar really need to be open past 2AM? Usually closing the bar will make things start winding down. It is easier to keep eyes on drunks etc in public spaces during the day- at 4AM much more challenging.

Surely there has to be some method of prevention in terms of allowing guests to roam the beach at 4 in the freaking morning. For example some security officers patrolling the beaches and sending tourists straight back to their resort (even if they could not legally force them, an authority figure stating “beach is closed for the night, it is not safe, go back to your hotel please” would generally be successful in getting them to turn back)

Yes these “kids” are adults and all behaved poorly. Not defending that. But you’d think the resorts/tourism board would have some interest in preventing these very public stories and bad publicity (if for no other reason).

There’s literally video of her puking in the hotel bar before they went down to the beach.

this same pp tried to suggest maybe it was due to some unknown pre-exiting condition of the victim ...

Try again with your accusations of who is which poster. No one knows her health conditions nor is it anyone's business. And no one knows the young man's either but since he is alive, no one is asking about that.

we need to hear from the girls

That info is for the LE to figure out. Or if you insist, talk to DR's attorney general and see what she might tell you. Do you want her email or phone number to ask?

Sounds like the parents of the American man being detained have finally had it with DR especially since he should have been released after 48 hours if not charged. I bet the orange man will soon reign hell down on DR

More concerned with appearances than finding out what really happened.

This is probably where the whole "their culture" thing comes up. Didn't someone post that the video was asked not to be used by someone or someone's families?

No. Try a true crime site.

Anonymous wrote:I married into a Dominican family and have been there quite a few times. The way people behave at the resorts is shameful. My child once had her pool float taken by a drunk guy who proceeded to pass out on it-in the kiddie pool. I've seen people get ridiculously drunk then ill only to blame it on the resort for poisioning them via food or drink. I've seen women harrassing the male employees to the point where it is embarrassing, not to mention the gross old men cavorting with teenage Dominican girls. On the other hand, I've never once felt unsafe due to any action by the resort staff. I haven't read all 165 pages of this thread, but damn, some of you all are showing your racism loud and clear!

Highly doubt people here are being racist towards any resort staff because they are Dominican. They are questioning if any one of the resort staff saw, did, assist in any way as another possibility into what may have happened. That resort is no place to be with a child. Old men? Ugh.
