Most guys I've known and know would prefer the 15 percent woman. But they'd date the 20-22 and the 25 and probably even some of the other ones. and if any women on there asked, they'd give the answer that got them in the least amount of trouble. So, yeah, all of the women who insist that men always tell them they prefer "meat," does it not occur to you that they're telling you that to appease you? Seriously, how many husbands and boyfriends are going to tell their "soft" girlfriend/wife, "no, I prefer ripped, but I'll settle for you." That said, it doesn't matter. you have the body you have and you do the best you can with it. do strength training because you'll feel better -- it will help your bone strength and energy level. Don't worry about being an object that men prefer, do what suits you and makes you feel good. If you like yourself better with curves and you don't care about feeling strong, then do that. Attraction isn't just about one aspect. Most people have an idealized preference, but what actually attracts them to individual people is the whole package. So a guy who prefers blondes might fall hard for a brunette because of all of the things put together that make her who she is. But don't discourage other women or slam them for trying to get strong. That's been happening for far too long. And some women like physical activity. They like the strength. They like that it improves their performance in other areas. Let's not bring back the BS that female athletes are not feminine. We're just finally breaking through that. |
I'm wrong b/c I like feeling strong? Whatever. |
|
Important to note:
1) Exercise builds confidence. There's no question about that. 2) It's pretty universally agreed upon that confident people are more attractive. |
| I had an interesting conversation with a group of men about this recently. 3 straight men. 1 gay man. The gay man quipped that he was surprised by the guys who preferred cut, flat women like Kelly Ripa who resemble preteen boys. I agree. I think boobs and curves are feminine. |
| softness => sensuality => sexuality |
+1 million. Seriously. People are afraid that if they pick up a barbell they are going to get super jacked. IT takes a LOT of work to get that way. Stay soft and watch your metabolism plummet and osteoporosis set in. My friends who lift and are in great shape had zero problems attracting men. |
+1000000 I strenght train 3x a week I love having some muscle definition. Women need to understand if you lift weights it will not make you look like a man it will give you curves, life your ass, define your waist line make you look and feel better. It would take a lot for a woman to become hard and ripped. My DH was the one who got me into strenght training and I love it. |
This. I also lift heavy a lot. To look at me, you'd have no idea how strong I am. In my late thirties, I get more attention that I ever did in my twenties before I was lifting. I don't do it for that though: I do it because I love feeling strong. |
Agree. It's not between jiggly jello and hard as a log - and women can't get that way unless they let their fat % get under 15% which is impossible without strict dieting, mega strength training with heavy weights and killer cardio like what female body builders do for competitions. |
| ^to above PPs: IDK. I dont really like a girl to have much muscle development. Visible muscles, at all, in the arms I consider to be a turnoff. It's too masculine looking to me. |
She is disgusting. I would not touch her with a stick. |
| Soft. |
| The 25% woman in the photos looks perfect |
Preach, sister. |
| Notice all these women whining that they are ripped so it must be preferable. Hilarious! |
