What age did your DD get a second piercing?

My dd has triple piercing. First one at 10, second one at 13, and third one at 14 (she payed for it herself and got it together with a friend.)
We agreed no more piercings and she was happy with that. Just let them do what they want its their body and piercings can always close up if they regret it. I just wouldn't allow a nose, tongue or eyebrow piercing until 16.
Also, make sure to get it done at a good place for minimal infection risk.

For cultural reasons, my kid got her first one at 6 months. She got her second lobe at 11 years. Definitely don’t get anything other than a lobe until high school. I think a second lobe is fine though, it’s like the same as the first one.

This is the track I’m taking. I don’t care at all about anything in her ears but want to step through those slow enough for her to develop enough maturity to serve her well by the time she’s making decisions about what’s after her belly button.

Exactly. It seems unwise to let them indulge every impulse at the moment it strikes, because they will grow out of it SO fast, but by then, the damage, literally, is done.

My son really really wanted to jump off the porch roof when he was about six. Just the low part; he saw his dad do it! Why make the kid wait when I'm going to be fine with it when he's man-sized, right?? I'm sure he totally hates me now that he has two intact ankles.

I think I probably allowed around 12.

I was a kid who's parents were really strict about it and I ended up with a bunch early in college. I tried a different approach with my daughter, letting her get her first holes when she asked around 7 I think.

It was never a hill I was going to die on, piercings don't bother me much. I actually currently wear 3 per lobe, a cartilage piercing in one and my tragus on the other.

So, she had one in elementary, second in middle school, and then I lost track. By the end of HS, she probably had 4-5 per ear and her nose. She's soon to be 20 and has several more ear piercings.

I really wanted a belly button ring when I was 15-16, but my mom wouldn’t let me. I really glad she didn’t. By the time I went to college I thought they looked trashy and the girls I knew that had them were constantly getting infections in them making them look even worse.

I took the metro freshman year of high school and had it done without my parents' permission. I guess I was 14. It was my third hole left ear. I don't remember getting the second holes pierced, but maybe around 12?

Not a fan of more than one pair of piercings, but then I'm very traditional when it comes to body modification. My 15 year old expects to get her ears pierced at some point, but not right now. I got my ears pierced in my early 20s.

My 11 yr old is getting 2nd piercing for Christmas. I really don’t care about piercings since I had a ton in high school. I just her piercings fine, nothing permanent like tattoos.
