+1 ivy brand wins for alum network everywhere but in the south |
| Duke is Duke and attracts different demographics than Penn. The college experience at Duke is priceless vs 500 people watching Penn play Brown in low Division football. |
|
Not much applicant crossover with Penn very different cultural demographics. Duke chapel
Is focal point of the main campus with Cameron Indoor 2nd. Penn has more in common with Brown, WashU, and Emory. Duke crowd more aligned with old Princeton era and still Dartmouth not Penn. |
This, basically all otters schools. Apply to kid’s first choice, |
| Would not see a Duke President fired for Palestinian/ Israel war positions. She should not have been fired at UPenn recently.Agree different demographics. |
| Penn |
| Duke offers so much more than mid-level Ivy Penn. |
Not sure "Penn’s alumni network is unmatched". Princeton and Dartmouth alumni networks are very strong. |
| This one's easy. If he's a douche, Duke. If not, Penn. |
| Who wants to explain his whole life he didn’t go to Penn State. If kid is social go to Duke. |
A secure kid |
I've never once heard anyone confuse U Penn with Penn State. I do think I'd get tired of people asking if I went to Wharton. |
| My DS was deciding between both last year and picked Duke, felt the undergrad experience was better at Duke |
| Penn is very narrow and always was a 2nd tier Ivy. They are fortunate there’s Brown and Cornell. There’s no HYP allure at Penn. Easy choice go to Duke and have a well rounded great 4 years. |
100% I want my kid to get a degree from Penn and have an esteemed career like Trump |
