True but you don’t see that very often on women. |
It's very hard in DC. Especially for short cuts on textured hair. If you live somewhere with LCOL and/or have easy-to-cut hair, it might be straightforward to find someone who can do *good* trims on a short cut for $80 or something. And to echo the poster who said "decent" is not the bar -- finding "decent" stylists is precisely I stick with mid length cuts that are pretty simple. A decent stylists can consistently cut my fine, wavy hair to shoulder length with good shape. Asking that stylist to do something more technical will not work out for either of us. Short cuts are harder for most hair. Unless you're getting a buzz cut or have stick straight hair, you need to keep it longer to guarantee your hair doesn't get butchered. |

Never.
Men like longer hair on women, at least shoulder length. Shorter hair is seen as more lesbian thing or older woman thing. |
Styles come and go. At some point, long hair will read as old lady and short stylish hair will read as youthful and fashionable. |
| WHo is KG? |
Not for men. It's a long held universal truth they prefer longer hair. |
Sure, and they prefer tighter, shorter clothes. That’s not same as what’s the current style. |
| Hopefully never? Yuck. |
| We call worn with short, white hair q-tips where I live. |
| I look awful with short hair. I’ll be keeping mine around my shoulders so I can always pull it into a ponytail. |
Bad analogy. |
Fashion is for other women. Women trying to impress other women with $ and herd trends. Straight men don't care about fashion trends or what women wear. They always mentally undress women. |
| I love short cuts! I go between bob and pixie. My hair has gotten quite curly, so it’s not the same animal snymore, but I used to love the Vidal sassoon type cuts. |
ALL of our husbands prefer skinny jeans to the wide leg look and yet all the women I know wear the wide leg look. Women style themselves for other women. |
That’s us in the school yearbook. In 1974. |
