Men like longer hair on women, at least shoulder length.
Shorter hair is seen as more lesbian thing or older woman thing.

Styles come and go. At some point, long hair will read as old lady and short stylish hair will read as youthful and fashionable.

Not for men. It's a long held universal truth they prefer longer hair.

Sure, and they prefer tighter, shorter clothes. That’s not same as what’s the current style.

Bad analogy.

Why is that? I’ve been on these boards to see the discussion on various topics like clothes and weight. Men don’t like thin-thin but MANY of the women around here target it anyway. Men like tight and short. Women often don’t. The general consensus is always that women should dress and take care of their body in the way they like best. Why is hair different?

Get off your screens, get out and meet some real people. Talk to them in a variety of different situations. Most men like women with longer hair vs. short hair. They like how long hair looks and feels. It’s SEXY.

You need to work on reading comprehension.

I recently got a bob after a life of long hair and it’s fabulous. Quite a bit more work to maintain and style but I think it fits my face shape well

(Adding) Don’t give a F about what “men” think is attractive

That being said, I can’t wait for the extensions and fake uncombed hair look of maga to disappear! Yuck.

Picture of this uncombed hair look?

I think Noem fits in here.
Someone else said mid-back, but Noem and Guilfoyle are examples of hair (fake) that goes to the belt. It's the hair version of Trump's tie.

Short hair doesn’t look good with all faces.

1. There are NO unifying trends and there haven't been since the internet came into its own and created millions of different universes, each with their own followers and microtrends.

2. Therefore don't wait for anything to come back in style in a major way. It will be in style only for a small group of people. The only styles you will notice are the ones you love or hate, and they might not be the styles that your particular social circle follows.

3. You only have one life. Do what you want.

Short hair looks good on very few women

You need a cute, youthful face withbig expressive eyes, or a thin model type face with a long thin ballerina neck to pull off short hair.

Most women don't have the right look for short hair.

Short hair looks horrible on 99.9% of women, and make that near 100% as they get into their 60s. The men and the women start to look the same.

Anonymous wrote:I love short hair and think it looks better in me than long, but haircuts have gotten too expensive where I live to wear it short. In the past I've had bobs, but the require trims every 3 or 4 months, and I've had pixies that should really be maintained every 6 weeks. It used to be possible to do this fairly affordable, but it's not anymore. So now I weart hair shoulder length and get it cut twice a year. It probably does start to look a bit straggly in between cuts, but when I can't get out of the salon for less than $130 for even a minor trim, that's how it is. I refuse to spend 1-3k annually on my hair.

I have pixie cut hair. I have to spend $80 every 4 weeks. + $10 for hair color at home every 4 weeks. It is annoying but I do not look good with longer hair or gray hair.

You think long hair looks good on women in their 60s? I don’t know many women in their 60s with hair that’s thick enough to pull off long hair. We may have different definitions of long and short hair though.

Short hair is usually above the shoulders.

I have curly hair and it looks appalling short. Too bad, because it flatters my face.

People are using long hair as some kind of shield. Like it will distract people from other things about you. What they don’t realize is that hair can be distracting because sometimes it looks terrible.

Short hair always looks terrible unless it is styled. No thanks.

I hate the short bobs that are in fashion this year. They don't look good on anyone.
