Sounds like you have an issue with your phone. Maybe put it away on your amazing Sunday morning. |
Seems like a least a few others feel this way... |
DP i will never be ready to recieve a HMD text from my coworker early Sunday morning. I have professional boundaries |
NP and I agree. It’s one thing to hear from my own mother, my MIL, and my sister. Maybe an aunt or two. But I really don’t need to hear from friends and *old coworkers.* Like, just focus on your own mom and people close to you! I don’t need junk texts from every corner of my extended acquaintence. |
|
Old coworkers have your personal cell? Why?
I would block these people. And don’t give out your personal cell if you are this offended by contact. |
| My college student texted me at 2:30 AM and I saw it when I woke up. I appreciated that he was thinking of me. |
|
I think it’s so weird for women to wish other women HMD.
It’s a holiday for kids to celebrate their moms/grandmothers. Period. |
Well you don’t if they have your cell number and they feel comfortable texting you. I doubt someone has never texted your personal cell prior and then started this morning. |
Because this site is full of women who want to be miserable and find any excuse to do so. |
| I don’t mind the texts but feel they are a bit overboard. My kids are older. My husband is buying bagels and we’re having brunch with my in laws. It’s work for him, which I don’t think is necessary. I like just a verbal happy Mother’s Day or flowers (I bought potted flowers for myself yesterday). I’m just not into being the center of attention. |
| It’s called Do Not Disturb. It’s a modern marvel. |
| I'm a DINK and I get next level passive aggressive behavior from some people (friends) if I don't acknowledge. I've settled on a a message in the group chat to all of them. I can't win apparently. |
| There are more complaints on DCUM about Mother's Day not being celebrated in just the right way than any other holiday. |
You keep your phone by your bed? Don’t do that. |
Some women might have mothers. I am not a biologist. |
