| How clueless and rude. I don't need your insipid text with heart and bouquet emojis. Let me sleep. Let me clean up the sloppy breakfast my kids made for me. Let me just have a Sunday morning. |
| Umm turn your ringer off? What an odd post. |
| My phone is blowing up with HMD texts, and I'm grateful for friends and family thinking of me but damn! Your text can wait. Those close to me know my dad is in hospice so I keep notifications/ringer on. |

I don't mind this at all! But I have my phone on silent.
|
| Someone needs a mimosa. |
Hahaha i have my phone on silent and just want to doomscroll DCUM in peace with my coffee before everyone wakes up but HMD texts keep popping up! |
I’m sorry that you have to keep your ringer on for such a painful reason, PP. I’m sorry that those close to you aren’t thinking that through. I hope you have a very nice Mother’s Day. |
| Pointless texts. Send flowers, a card, do an act of service or GTFO |
| Happy Mother’s Day! |
| Is this how you typically respond to kind gestures? |
+1 I love all the messages!💞 |
| I was very glad to get a message at 4:30 am! At least one of my children remembered. |
| Turn your ringer off then weirdo |
Drunk texting your mother is kind of weird |
| The Op has a point. The HMD texts are not coming from her kids. They are coming from outsiders who she is not the mom to. People have over sensationalized this made up holiday. Let the kids treat mom today. Have you noticed how every mom friend, sister, aunt, etc. send these HMD texts? It’s gone over board. I can see how that irritated the Op. |
