Lordy, I must be fat. I'm 54 yr Asian thin boned, 5'0 and 116lb.

Yep. Sadly when you’re short even a few pounds make a difference.

God love you ... this is one of the saner weight threads I've seen.

I'm 5'5" and 54 years old. This is the first year that I've had to FIGHT weight.

This thread is making me feel like I don't have to fight QUITE so hard.

(Weigh 125. Fitter at 120. Can't shake vanity that wants me to be less.)

Best answer ever!! Thanks for the laugh.

There is no correct answer to this. I have a tiny frame and don't look good at 137 lbs. It mostly sits in my midsection and hips. My sister has a more athletic build, is around the same height, and 3 years younger, and looks fine at 145.

145 is a smidge above “healthy” on bmi and that is the healthiest for a 50 something.

For my specific body type (flat rectangular shape, broad shoulders, muscular thighs) probably 115 at 5'3.

I'm 5'4 and 120, age 52, and I seem to eat 2 to 3 times more than most women my age to maintain. None of my weight goes to my boobs or stomach.

My 20-something DD is 5'3 and looks best at 125-130 (different build)

Indeed. Threads like this give me the ick. Shudder.

This. About 120 is good for me, though I prefer how I look at 117-18.

+1
Exactly my numbers. Currently feeling the "fluffy" 125 the PP mentioned. I feel like I'm designed for famine - I can eat nothing and only ever get to 120.

Asians like more the anorexic look than Americans and there is more pressure to achieve it, especially for those that travel back and forth.

I'm 5'4, I like my weight from 115 to the low 120s, my husband likes me in the high 120s.

135 Muscle is ideal and necessary.

It all depends on how you are built. If you go to reddit you can find subreddits of people showing full body shots who post their height and weight, and you'd be shocked at how different some people look at the exact same height and weight.

I am 5'3 and currently 123. I look best around 120. I'm strong but not a powerlifter - you can see the outline of my upper abs and I don't have much belly fat, have very little upper arm fat but you can only see my arm muscles when I flex. My butt is fairly jiggly unless I squeeze it, despite doing lots of squats.

I have heavy legs. Thick thighs and calves and ankles. If I want my legs to look nice I need to get down to 110-115. But then my upper half looks emaciated. It’s frustrating.
