Ann Arbor is a great city. I take it you’ve never been there. |
Do you even fact check anything? UW OOS: 51% Michigan: 15% I guess it’s similar if you literally reverse the digits … |
What I don’t understand is why so many top faculty settle in Wisconsin. Like, if there’s any evidence academia is a nutshow, look at all the good faculty in Madison WI. Literally tornado alley, no major cities in the state, no big law or finance. The question is why aren’t these faculty in Charlottesville? UVA really needs to get its research/grad rankings up. |
Your UW stay is WAY off. And that’s the last I’ll say about it because I suspect you’re our resident troll. |
+1 Social work = Michigan CS = UMD And so on. |
Oh no. You just googled and didn't look at the actual data set. SEC grad? I kid, kind of. |
That’s the last you’ll say because you can’t link to actual data? 😂 Here’s the latest data: Washington OOS: 46% Link: https://admit.washington.edu/apply/freshman/by-the-numbers/ Michigan OOS: 18% https://www.collegetransitions.com/blog/how-to-get-into-the-university-of-michigan-admissions-data-and-strategies |
Hey can we pay attention to Wisconsin guys! |
|
NW
UCLA Michigan/USC Illinois, Wisconsin,UMD, Washington, Rutgers,Purdue Ohio State, Indiana, Minnesota Penn State, Iowa, Michigan State Oregon, Nebraska |
Not wrong, but the whole list is so close together that you should be willing to go up or down 2-4 tiers depending on particular programs, geography, and where you get tuition discounts (resident, reciprocity, and/or merit). |
Northwestern is NU, not NW. |
This is correct. |
Still waiting for someone to list the programs that are stronger at Michigan State than Michigan. |
Google is your friend: https://ir.msu.edu/rankings And remember the point isn’t that MSU is overall stronger than UMich. The point is that no one gets a degree in “overall.” |
That doesn’t compare any of those rankings to Michigan. |
