Rachel Ray slurring words?

The prototypical childless cat lady.

Heard she and her husband have an open "marriage".

I think she’s always talked that way.

She does look puffy, so it’s possible she has a condition for which she needs to take steroids, but I’m her age and also look puffy due to weight gain.

1+. Not only did I not hear "slurring" but I thought her video/ story sounded pretty good! She is puffy, but unclear if that really reflects a "condition" or just middle age and about an extra 30-40 pounds.

Maybe she's an alcoholic but the asymmetry in the mouth is very indicative of some type of neurological issue that could also cause slurring.

I thought the pp's were being dramatic talking about the asymmetry but watching the video it is dramatic. This is not just being drunk something definitely happened (maybe related to the alcoholism but still)

Bell’s palsy?

She looks like she's been on prednisone long-term. Does she have chronic health issues?

Or antipsychotics, or even antidepressants long term.

She has hashimoto thyroid disease but she's also a known alcoholic

Alcohol is probably it. I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and it does not cause speech changes or facial asymmetry.

She looks like she’s put on 50 pounds since the last time I saw her which was a few years ago. I guessed I missed something.

Maybe some kind of palsy, but probably not Bell's simply because it's a fairly short term ailment. Why would she come out with a video while she's suffering from a short-term condition that affects her face?

At a certain point in many Hashimotos cases, Synthroid or other meds no longer are effective. Moon face is a known symptom. Typically with Hashimotos, you have other autoimmune diseases as well. So she may also be on prednisone or other anti-imflamatories.

It’s basically a condition in which the face looks round and puffy due to a medical condition

I have had it for 20 years and I have had my thyroid levels under control. Thanks for your concern
