There is video of her at work in supplying medical kits to frontline Ukranian soldiers (she works with a charity), and she still has facial asymmetry with some change to her voice. This is not drinking.
Leave her alone. Video at bottom of article: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13814793/Rachael-Ray-breaks-silence-slurred-speech-gate-worried-fans.html |
This reminds me of Annette Funicello in the 1990s, where she was forced to disclose her MS diagnosis because people were commenting about her slurring words and assuming she was an alcoholic.
Apparently, we've learned nothing. |
Remind us again of how much detail you know about Rachel Ray's private medical records, since you are being so opinionated about her? |
As others have said, there have been rumors of her being an alcoholic for more than a decade. I don’t know if true but it’s been a long smoke for as long as I can remember.
The Turner’s suggestion is also pretty compelling. |
What an interesting response… all I said was not yet. You haven’t experienced those symptoms yet ….which are well documented symptoms! Just because you haven’t had a symptom doesn’t mean it’s not something other have. Why are you making this about yourself? |
+1. I'm also old enough to remember that, too. |
She's 56, we all age. I'm 56, too. I don't look like I did at 36. Time comes for us all. It is shocking for people to see 90s and early 2000s celebrities age, but that's life. Nobody looks 25 forever. |
+1 Please identify which words she slurred. |
+10000 we are all still waiting on baited breath for OP to defend their bs post.... |
The distended midsection reminds me of my alcoholic aunt. She looked that way for a year before she died from pancreatic cancer. I'm mid 50s, too, but my midsection is not distended, nor am I significantly larger than I was at 36. In fact, I'm maybe 10 pounds heavier. If my mid section became distended like that, I would be alarmed and seek medical intervention. |
Wow, I'm shocked at her appearance. She definitely looks ill, whether it's alcoholism or something else. It's not just her weight, it's her pallor and demeanor. |
DP. The left corner of her mouth does not move, and the left side of her face is drooping. You cannot speak normally without moving half your mouth, and it affects all of her speech. I don't think this is "slurred speech from drinking." This is neurological. If you can't hear it, then you are not paying attention. |
I experienced similar when I had a molar removed on one side of my mouth. |
+1 I had a friend with ALS who experienced the same. |
Gosh I didn’t even recognize her (granted I don’t really watch these shows). As someone who was formerly married to an alcoholic, she reminds me of him when he was trying to act sober. I hope if it is alcohol she’s able to get help. Not easy to overcome. |
