No the wind energy was the only thing that works. It is weird how conservatives like yourself alway get the facts wrong, |
?? It’s intermittent supply and comes and goes with the wind. Coal, nuclear, and to a lesser extent natural gas are far more reliable and less dispersed. Any significant reliance on wind power increases the fragility of the system, in part because $ spent there are $ not spent on more reliable power sources. |
DP. Millions of Texans are suffering in sweltering temperatures because Biden failed to issue federal response in a timely manner. https://www.wsj.com/us-news/biden-texas-officials-spar-over-beryl-response-as-power-outages-persist-a485d6e3?st=cq85canf8f9q650&reflink=article_copyURL_share |
Way too late. It is here so adapt and plan accordingly. |
Sorry but a powerful June hurricane is not biden's fault. The changing climate will produce more of these. Get trump to fix things with a sharpie or something. |
What is kind of sad is that you don’t realise that Texas is by-far the leader in renewable energy in the US. https://www.newsweek.com/texas-greenest-state-energy-wind-solar-1847348 How red Texas became a model for green energy https://www.ft.com/content/ef2f6f8e-60df-4ccd-8c4f-ef5cd0eb3176 https://www.kut.org/energy-environment/2024-02-26/more-than-80-of-electricity-on-the-texas-grid-was-carbon-free-at-one-point-sunday Maybe you need to rethink some things you thought you knew? Of course not, party above all…. |
Maybe Abbot will fry. I hope so. |
Lol. Texas is so screwed by climate change. Ironic. |
No one said the hurricane was his fault; however, his failure to grant the major disaster declaration in a timely manner is absolutely his fault. “I am disappointed that President Biden is turning Hurricane Beryl into a political issue,” Patrick said on X. “We had a cordial call today that ended up with him granting my request for a major disaster declaration. But that’s not good enough for him. He is falsely accusing me that I was not reachable. He obviously did not know his own employees from FEMA were side-by-side with me for 3 days! All he had to do was call them and have them hand their phone to me.” State officials, Patrick wrote, had to determine Texas’ needs before asking the federal government for help – a process that required officials traveling to impacted areas. “To quote President Biden, this is a load of malarkey, and he’s shoveling it!” Patrick wrote, using a term often used by Biden. Abbott, in his own post, took aim at Biden’s mental fitness. “Biden’s memory fails again,” the governor tweeted, adding that Biden has his number and “not once did he call me during Beryl.” Abbott spokesperson Andrew Mahaleris also called Biden’s comments “a complete lie,” writing on X: “Biden and his Administration know exactly how to get in contact with the Governor and have on numerous occasions in the past, most recently on Friday when FEMA called and spoke with him.” https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/biden-points-finger-at-texas-state-leaders-for-delay-in-federal-beryl-aid-as-they-accuse-him-of-politicizing-storm/ar-BB1pHM83?ocid=BingNewsSerp |
Lies. Dan Patrick dropped the ball and didn't request federal aid. On top of that, Abbott was having fun in Asia while his state was a disaster zone. |
Whatever. Forty-eight percent of Texas energy supply is from natural gas, not windmills. Wind only made up 23% of the energy |
BS. Abbott, in an interview from Japan on Wednesday with Austin television station KTBC, said Biden has reached him him multiple times on the same number following previous disasters in Texas but that the president this time never called that phone during Beryl. “I know for an absolute 100% certainty, the only person to drop the ball is Joe Biden by making up some bizarre lie,” Abbott told the station. “And why he would do that? I have no idea.” https://apnews.com/article/biden-hurricane-beryl-federal-aid-abbott-patrick-f6ec5e8d4bf6842ccc1491fa0343dc34 |

Wrong again: https://www.houstonchronicle.com/news/houston-weather/hurricanes/article/greg-abbott-hurricane-beryl-19565079.php At least you acknowledge that Abbott is in Japan. But, how does that matter? We’re all screwed. I’m in liberal New England this week and it’s roasting. Giving Texas the finger does no one any favors! |
