Class roster:
1. Union basher who hijacks MCPS threads to blame every friggin' problem on teacher unions, with a bloody-minded ability to shout down all other conversations (today's thread on "should I move to MoCo")
2. Crazy tiger mom who thinks everything MCPS does is a part of a wider conspiracy to take out Asian students
3. Poster who "wouldn't send my dog to MCPS schools," therefore we should slash teacher salaries and taxes so she can better afford her private school, and the public school kids can just suck it
4. Flame Throwing Asshole, and I regret that I wasn't the one to come up with this moniker, but it's totally deserved for the poster who reduces every debate to common denominator of race with the greatest possible degree of in-your-face insults and chest-butting
5. ANYONE who tells another poster to "take your meds" or "I feel sorry for your children" or "I know the anonymous PP is a racist/union leader/insert epithet here"

Technically, I think someone called #4 a Pot Stirring Asshole instead of Flame Throwing Asshole. But both are good.

I am #3, I did not suggest slashing teacher's salaries. While I do think teachers are well compensated in Montgomery County, the jist of that portion of the thread was the MoCo teacher whinging about how she deserved her raise as teaching your children is far above and beyond what anyone should be asked to do (up to and including those deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan who apparently have it better than she does). Quite frankly, if I were a MCPS parent, I would be more concerned about someone as entitled, lazy and negative as the teacher poster was teaching my children than worry about the handful of people that come here to disagree with you.

Now about the taxes, while I would welcome a tax break (as I'm sure most of you would), I did not suggest taxes be cut so I can better afford my kid's private school tuition. I paid my tuition in full on July 1st without any ill effect on my net worth or my bottom line. But I do appreciate your concern.

I may have been a #4 at some point so I will bite. I find that race is a very taboo subject among whites in this area, and I have occasionally "injected" it into discussions on here when it seemed people were making veiled references to the demographics at certain schools but never actually honestly said what they were talking about. I have not ever posted "you are a racist" so maybe I'm not #4 after all.

I remember that thread. It was about whether teachers in general, not just that teacher, should get a raise after two years of no raises. As you probably know, no raise or COLA is like a pay cut in real (what your salary can buy) terms. So you were arguing for a pay cut in purchasing power terms. Also, you've shown up to talk about your dog on more threads than just that one.

Speaking only for myself, what's annoying about you is how ignorance is mixed with all the entitlement. You keep saying "I wouldn't send my dog to MoCo" then you go on to trash teachers, schools and a system you, by definition, have no experience with. And no, talking to your one bitter neighbor whose kid didn't get into the magnet program doesn't count. And reading the righty WaPo editorial page doesn't count either.

If it's not about the money, then why do you, as a private school patent, plague the MoCo forum on what seems like a daily basis?

Oh yeah, there was a thread with these two about whether IB was better than AP. Pot Stirring Asshole is different, she's all about race.

If you didn't use incendiary language that stopped all discussion while posters abused you personally, then it probably wasn't you.

I'm the poster who was given the moniker "RM Mom/Unhinged RM IB Mom" after I got into a pissing contest with a self-described "liberal mom with two kids at Blair" & her defenders -- so I don't think Flame Throwing Asshole refers to either of us. But it's true that the particular posts that led to me being labelled "RM Mom/Unhinged RM IB Mom" started when the self-described "liberal mom with 2 kids at Blair" gratitiously and specifically called me "a total asshole" -- so maybe that's why you may be thinking that either/both of us is "also known as" since one asshole looks pretty much like any other.

OP here. I was going for repeat offenders. Those posters who have shut down many threads over a period of weeks or months. The Blair-RM thread, while painful, seemed contained. Others might differ on what a troll is....
