What happened to this California family?

Dog had to go because they had no one to care for her. It’s not like they could call a friend to take her and explain their plans. This has hard core drugs written all over it. Every other theory is pure BS.
Carfentanil is my guess or a cocktail they specifically concocted for their day “trip”. If someone chooses death, it really is their business.

Are you saying it was a suicide pact? Why was Ellen found 30 yards away from the rest of her family?

Good grief. Get out of the box. Maybe she was sick or afraid or delirious and walked a few feet. My mailbox is 150’ from my house, it takes less than a minute to get to it. It’s not like Ellen was on a different trail.
If not a pact maybe she was the last to go?

Maybe you're not right? Maybe this isn't a simple case?

Who even cares. People die all the time. Why fight about a couple of risk takers you didn’t even know.

Maybe you don't care, but the reason the rest of us are interested is because it's very mysterious, a locked room mystery in the outdoors. What killed them? How did they die?

Are we certain the baby was alive when they went to the forest?

Two weeks later I'm coming back here to see if the toxicology reports have been released and still nothing. Doesn't it seem to be taking an unusually long time for authorities to release a statement about the findings?

Yes, it's strange, and lack of information is fueling all of these bizarre theories.

Really a month is not long for extensive lab work, is it?

Because our hearts hurt for the baby and dog. Personally, I was holding out hope for CO as the cause since the experts here said it was quick and no suffering.

Other things are just as fast. The poor baby, one year is all she had. John was teaching her to swim and took her to a local museum the Friday before.

I’m very curious to know if the baby’s CoD is the same as the adults. What precipitated this tragic incident?

What a good question. Did they not pass any passerby on the route?

Two weeks ago (I think around Labor Day) they said they would have the report very soon and more information to share soon. I saw a headline, I want to say on cnn about this, and then silence. I think it's been ample time to get the results back. Maybe they're inconclusive and they have nothing more to share. The lack of follow-up is weird though.
