What happened to this California family?

You think THIS is the only thread discussing this?

A friend of mine is writing an article regarding the public's concern/inquisitiveness (for lack of a better word) regarding what happened to this family -- she said that there are an unprecedented number of discussions online about this family... only comparable to the election. She said that there are hundreds of thousands of comments and questions.

So relax... this won't be the first or only discussion thread about this, and besides, everyone here is keeping this discussion very respectful.

There's nothing here but civil discussion.

On WS I counted over 1k posts discussing water bladders. Every deet. They are utterly GP fascinated with water bladders.

Who knows why anyone does FA?

Some who do FA include the pets too. It’s sick but their thinking is better we all die together.

I just want to weep reading this. I doubt tbi made Chung cloudy. If this was FA my money is on her. Omg the stuff posted o her IG prior to it being locked was awful. Everyone seemed to love John. No one says a word about the mom.

Sorry I'm just seeing this...
I'm not asking for specifics, but what do you mean it was awful? 😳
the poster prob means the last couple comments moments before it was locked.

NP

There was nothing awful in her IG prior to it being locked. It was the same as thousands of other IG accounts. She had photos of her dog, her family, outings with friends, trips they took. I don’t know what the PP means about it being awful.

+1. Some of the posters on this thread…wow. Like, oh, they went to Burning Man? Then they are, without question, drug-addicted sex maniacs with morbid depression who definitely would murder their spouse, baby, and dog before committing suicide. But first they went on an 8 mile hike so as not to arouse suspicion!

+1 I looked at her whole Instagram and it was like anyone else on here who leads a UMC life. Family, friends, travel. And I didn’t see any pictures of her nude or topless or even a party lifestyle. Also still waiting to hear from PP’s who allude to her brother’s Instagram and her exBF who allegedly said “I used to hit that.” Is it sexist or what that people are so focused on her, including the way she dressed at a festival, and never commenting on Jon? She graduated from Berkeley and worked in tech for a long time. Yet people keep commenting on her rich husband or rich ex as if she had no accomplishments of her own. Why aren’t people commenting on the way Jon dressed at festivals? I’ve seen pictures of people at festivals (not even Burning Man per se) and everyone dresses very scantily.

Cool because early on posters had no idea what was really being discussed.
Live for the day. Rehashing crap won’t solve this any sooner.
I agree with previous posts on this being a drug case. So it might take months because the FBI is prob running a simultaneous investigation to determine how they got the drugs.

No proof that this couple went to that part of the festival. Not all festival participants take drugs and participate in orgies. Probably most don’t.

Unprecedented number of discussions? I find that hard to believe. Their deaths are mysterious and it's been a long time but it's still a minor story.

I bet they went only for the desert scenery. From all I’ve read they liked the outdoors.

Wouldn’t surprise me. I can see a bunch of fat trailer park women discussing this 24-7.

Now I have mixed emotions about what could have happened.

What the heck is Orgy Dome?

Yes, what is that? And where did you see this? Are you the PP who saw her pictures naked on a sand dune and parading in a leather dominatrix outfit? Where do you get these things? I looked at every one of her public Instagram photos and didn’t see anything like this.

I am not the PP who posted a sand dune or a leather dominatrix outfit but just googled and found it. Maybe the PP was talking about the tabloid The Sun with their pictures.

People harping on this are being silly. They went to Burning man. People dress up in crazy outfits at burning man. Would I go to burning man? No, for many reasons. But I know perfectly normal people who do go, get some kooky creative energy out, smoke some weed and return peaceably to corporate life. It’s just a festival, no one would be posting pictures of her at Coachella with this type of implication.

+10000000 you guys are being pretty ghoulish about this aspect

Have some respect. These people are dead.

This really is a fairly simple case. Looks like they chose to depart this world and the poster that said “leave no trace” is correct. Their “trace” was the child. Dog had to go because they had no one to care for her. It’s not like they could call a friend to take her and explain their plans. This has hard core drugs written all over it. Every other theory is pure BS.
Carfentanil is my guess or a cocktail they specifically concocted for their day “trip”. If someone chooses death, it really is their business.

Are you saying it was a suicide pact? Why was Ellen found 30 yards away from the rest of her family?
