How are you feeling now? |

So the idea is to replace junior employees with AI to fill in for the more mundane and routine tasks, and then what do you do when your senior employees with all of the subject matter expertise and institutional knowledge retire, who do you replace them with? You don't have any junior employees who you've trained to replace them because you used AI. This kind of thinking will cause businesses to fail. |

US Trade deficit surged 25% because of tariffs.
That is....not good. |
Wasn’t the trade deficit the very “emergency” that brought on the tariffs in the first place? |
The number reported today show that th trade deficit went down by 5.1%. Bu tthat isn't the win MAGA wants it to be. It shows a reduction in imports as a result of tariffs. It doesn't mean that there was an increase in exports or an increase in domestic production. Combined this with inflation caused by tariffs and it isn't the rosy picture Trump et al would have you believe. "U.S. imports in August declined to $340.4 billion, a 5.1% decline compared with July, while exports rose by 0.1% to $280.8 billion." https://www.wsj.com/economy/trade/trade-deficit-declined-in-august-delayed-figures-show-dc6c58e1?mod=trade_news_article_pos1 |

TRUMP: This is the greatest economy of all time
ALSO TRUMP: If the Fed doesn't juice the economy right now I am going to fire everyone's asses |
If you don't report the numbers, then they aren't bad.
|
| I was rewatching that TV show "Succession" and struck by a lot of the similarities. The scene where the oldest son tells the TV executives to just make up the numbers and the guy's like "I can't do that. Numbers are numbers." |
