It's also sad that the White House is relying on Door Dash for economic data.

The gig economy is doing great since steady work has moved to greener pastures.

An incredible FACT CHECK on inflation, comparing the first year of Trump vs Biden:

• For overall inflation, Biden was 4.3% overall and Trump 1.6%

• For groceries, Biden had 3.8% inflation and Trump 1.4%

• For gas, Biden had 24.4% inflation and Trump -5.4%

Sure, that sounds legit. Straight from the administration incapable of putting out numbers. Aside, can you describe what specific policies would have slowed inflation and reduced gas prices? What was his contribution?

Biden was influenced by Trump's economy.

Trump has been influenced by Biden's economy.

Remember the Wall Street Journal from October 31,, 2024? "The Next President Inherits a Remarkable Economy
The high quality of recent economic growth should put a wind at the back of the White House’s next occupant""

Missing a little context.
Biden’s first year was the year following Trump’s year of mishandling the pandemic when Trump closed down America and simultaneously let the virus spread through mismanagement.

Trump’s first year in his second term was the year following Biden handing over an economy that was the envy of the world.

You can’t spin this. Trump has trashed the U.S. economy through stupidity and recklessness.

What percentage of RIFed jobs are WFH?
Probably low since that's a lot more cost effective.
What are you talking about?

There’s no WFH anymore, unless you work for DOGE et al.

WFH would have saved money, since people like me plan to leave or have left DC for a lower COLA as soon as the kids are out of high school. RTO is forcing me to stay around and collect the DC salary. All the people who could afford to quit or retire are already gone. Not sure where cost effectiveness plays a part.

Ya, COVID and inherited supply chain issues will do that. Who was president and bungled the COVID response?

Fake numbers. Trump administration isn't even putting out inflation numbers, and groceries are more expensive now than they were at the end of Biden's term. As for gasoline so far the lowest it's been is $0.13 lower than it was at the end of Biden's term and that's probably due to the economy sucking so bad that people are driving less.

Agree - WFH saved money, both in private sector and public sector and in both of those sectors, productivity and morale have dropped since RTO. Were there some people here and there who abused WFH? Sure. But what you do is you fire the people abusing it, you don't punish the ones who aren't, and you don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. The data is clear, and shows that in the overwhelming majority of cases WFH was better.
