Husband received hickey from stripper

So, my husband got black-out drunk and found out the next morning that he and his friend went to a strip club where the stripper was all over him and gave him a hickey. His friend decided at this point to pull him out of there and took him back to his place to pass out.

Meanwhile, I was at home, calling hospitals because I had no idea where he was.

Husband is very apologetic and has vowed to quit drinking (his idea, not mine, though I fully support it). He's blacked out before but never done anything so stupid.

I'm wondering how we move beyond this. I'm sad and disappointed by his actions. I'd love to just forgive and forget, but I can't. I mean, I can forgive, but I can't forget. But I don't want to wallow over this either.

Don't feel pressured to make up your mind immediately about how you feel and/or what you want to do. Give yourself time to process this. And unfortunately, it doesn't sound like just a stripper to me, either. He may have more he needs to come clean about.

im not trying to make your mind go in 100 different other places but ive been to my fair share of strip clubs and have had and seen friends get all types of shit done to them and a hickey is new to me.

i can only assume the hickey happened in the lap dance area but again, no stripper gives you JUST a hickey. this isnt high school and shit

Correct, they would consider it too personal. Lap dances are different because the lips aren't used.

Agreed, strippers don't give hickeys onstage. I think they are not allowed to, anyway. This smells fishy. I am sorry but all signs point to affair or at the very least a one-time tryst. He could be lying about the blacking out and had maybe just turned off his phone.

the friend could have paid the stripper to give a hickey (doubt it but can happen), your husband was out and got drunk and made out with somebody/got the hickey THEN blacked out, or he had/has a sidepiece who took their making out too far.

im going to assume its the second occurrence just cause ill give him the benefit of the doubt that this was a mistake and he got too drunk
