There’s no WFH anymore, unless you work for DOGE et al.

WFH would have saved money, since people like me plan to leave or have left DC for a lower COLA as soon as the kids are out of high school. RTO is forcing me to stay around and collect the DC salary. All the people who could afford to quit or retire are already gone. Not sure where cost effectiveness plays a part.[/quote]

Agree - WFH saved money, both in private sector and public sector and in both of those sectors, productivity and morale have dropped since RTO.  Were there some people here and there who abused WFH?  Sure.  But what you do is you fire the people abusing it, you don't punish the ones who aren't, and you don't throw out the baby with the bathwater. The data is clear, and shows that in the overwhelming majority of cases WFH was better.[/quote]
