The most recent club communication (posted yesterday, 3/19) is that ASA expects to hear from the GA early this week. The committee has apparently voted on ASA's application, and the next step is the GA reaching out to ASA. I disagree that the club hasn't been very responsive. I think they're doing their best with what has been a surprisingly long process that they don't control.

,....oh wait

If you don't play on one of the top 20 girls ECNL teams you won't get noticed by D1 recruiters?

Which top 20 Club does your kid play for?

Do you have an offer in hand? If so, I would guess you could contact the coach and tell them your timing to get an update.

No but considering other options if many of my DD's teammates leave because they aren't getting GA at ASA.

what is ASA?

A number of pages ago, the question came up about 3rd teams at clubs - after MSLN1/2 - on the boys side and what league they'd be in. It looks like in the South/Mid-Atlantic for some clubs it will be NPL.

Knowing nothing about NPL, is it as good, worse than, or better than ENCL-RL for college scout attendance and placement for boys?

If you were really with the club then you would be aware there is a live document they sent families where they post live updates with the most recent one being yesterday

A lot of clubs apply every year. GA doesn't take all of them - especially in certain areas. Just like ECNL

Start trying out at other places. I am in a similar situation at a different club and got an offer that said "well if we do not get into the GA, you have a spot on the A team, if we do, you have a spot on the B team with a CHANCE to try out for the A team". I do not want to be on their silly B team because they are going to try and recruit a ton of people from outside the club instead of keeping the girls that got them there. So beware, if you get GA, your team will be totally different and you might not even have a spot
