Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread

Plus, she knew drinks were being spiked and gang rapes going on but she went back to 10 parties? Swetnick owes MD Comptroller $62K, presumably in back taxes. I don’t understand how she has been able to keep her security clearance. Things aren’t making sense.

She's a political hack with several spellings of her last name online.

Ah, so direct mailing companies have her name misspelled and this means she is lying about rape.

People, at heart, are self interested and this is not in their self interest.

Kavanaugh however has every reason to lie.

The fact is, any woman who steps forward against anything Trump does is considered a national hero by the media. They truly have nothing to lose.

They are slandered, slut shamed, asked every personal question in the book, called liars, called whores. Sometimes they receive death threats, they have to move their families. Even when they tell WHEN the assault occurs (ie in Ford's case 35 years ago, etc), people don't believe them, their families and friends tell them it wasn't intentional, he didn't mean it, they get shamed and ostracized.

So they, actually, have a lot to lose.

I disagree about the name-calling. I would bet my life that no one could find any reason in Michelle Obama's or Laura Bush's or Condoleeza Rice's or Hillary Clinton's backgrounds to call them any of the terms you mentioned. Why? Because of the way they've conducted themselves. I'm not talking about someone who just throws out a derogatory term. I'm talking about a name that could stick.

The CPL is looking even creepier today. Didn’t know that was possible.

The Erick Erickson fan bois are looking even more desperate for validation and love today. Didn’t know that was possible.

But, from her experience, she said she has no problem believing Dr. Ford’s allegations and said Ford should be heard without politics being involved. “I don’t think that’s possible today. I grew up in a similar community, in another East Coast city, around the same time. This rings true and I am surprised more people on here haven't said similar things as the person in this article did, given some of you must have grown up in affluent MoCo towns/schools around this time. Not about BK per se, but about what it was like. I got here in the 90s and I remember hearing lots of Beach Week stories, for example.
Cmon homegrown 80s Red Line folks, spill the beans already.

Grew up in affluent MoCo, with public high school. I knew and was friends with kids who had gone to local Catholic high schools in elementary school public high school. I never knew any kids from the rich preppy schools.

Our parties did consist of some alcohol, and lots of make-out sessions. That's about it. Never witnsessed anything even close to a rape.

^^^ ....sorry....messed that up....some idiot scam artist called me in the middle of the post....

...I knew kids who had gone to Catholic schools in elementary school but transitioned to public by high school (which is when I met them).

Plenty of us on this thread have talked about that, we keep getting shut down.

And, this is why you believe the allegations, even if they are false. Because YOU have experienced such things. Because it “rings true” to YOU.
Forget that there is no evidence of these allegations, since you can remember these “stories,” this one MUST be true.

WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU WANT THEM TO HAVE??? PLEASE CLARIFY.

And don't say witnesses. Any witnesses are friends of the rapist, hence the rape not being stopped. So why would you believe them anyway?

New poster. I want enough evidence that the Montgomery County police can investigate as these are very serious allegations.

The raft of lawyers and money those boys had at their disposal would scare away the most determined public school girl. Kavanaugh's mother was a judge! She's being derided now in 2018! In 1981 she would have blasted into the ground if she tried to report those rich boys.

If the things she said happened actually happened, SOMEBODY would have gone to the police.

Mmhmm yes, because there have NEVER been any people raped, where others knew, where they didn't tell police. There are literally countless stories of teens who have told THEIR OWN PARENTS of their rape and its been swept under the rug, the victim was sent away somewhere else, parents actually forbid the teen to tell, etc, etc.

Please God people, the f*cking gaslighting on this thread is horrendous. Don't ever ask why victims don't come forward, because these reactions are predictable. Go speak to or at least read and listen to the stories of victims. Please.

Soooo.... regular, good people never lie? Or have a lot of sex? Or try drugs once? Or any of the things that get used as "evidence" against your character? Right.

They usually start at age 18.

It's highly, highly strange that a 20-21 year old woman, a junior in college, would be attending high school parties at all...

People literally have referred to Michelle Obama as an ape.

And if you think that how I've described the reaction to assault victims is exaggerating, just read through this thread. Read the stories of victims since the dawn of time, who have come forward only to be disbelieved and ostracized and shamed. It's one of the most predictable elements of sexual assault.

If you got an invitation to go with a friend to one of these parties in '82 or '82, you'd turn it down?

Let’s see. This first one.... a date. It’s tough to PROVE you weren’t there when you don’t have a date to show where you were. And, maybe a friend that can corroborate. Her friend that was there has said she doesn’t know Kavanaugh and was not at a party where he was present.

Second one - witnesses at the alleged party. And, just to point out that the accuser has told others she couldn’t be sure it was Kavanaugh AND could not find others to “remember” the story.

This last one is easy... If these allegations are true, at all, there must be a police report with specifics on it. Ten parties? Rape lines? C’mon - somebody of conscience would have reported this. I cannot believe that NOBODY said ANYTHING to anyone in authority. This one makes no sense at all.
