So STFU and get back to work you government lackey. DC is such a great city. You have very "City" like neighborhoods like Georgetown, Dupont, Logan, Capitol Hill, very suburban 'hoods like Palisades, Spring Valley, Takoma, CCDC, Hill Crest and everything in between. The people who hate it here are those who just didn't succeed at what they came out here to do. Sorry you're not the top LA for a Senator, or you didn't make Post Master General. Suck it up. |

I agree. I grew up here and I like it. I don't appreciate everyone from Bumblefuck appearing here as if they were God's gift and clogging up my raods, jacking up prices, and then complaining about it. You don't like it? Go home. Good riddance. We won't miss you. Here's a clue: no one cares. |

| I don't hate DC, but I'm certainly not living here because I love the city. Life is a series of compromises. The DC area is the best place for our family because of jobs. If DH and I could find similar jobs in other cities we would leave in a heartbeat. I'm sorry if that bothers you. |

So does your bitching about other people's bitching. People don't always like where they are in the moment, and have reasons they can't do anything about it right now to satisfy you. Believe me, anyone who hates this place is making plans to leave. It just takes a while. You understand the word compromise right? If I was single, I wouldn't be here at all. Just because my husband's job has forced us here for now doesn't mean I like it. I could do my job anywhere, teleworking. So yeah, I would have a job. My husband is waiting for two more years before he can transfer, so yeah, he'll have a job too. Why do you CARE? |
