| On the BSC Boys little side, I can't think of one kid from 2014-2017 who is playing up on the top team. |
No, not at all. If a kid is playing on a top team at BSC, he's being challenged. There will always be exceptions, I just don't know any of them right now. |

Bethesda just doesn't want kids to play up and weaken their original age group team
Kid is scoring hat tricks every game while making the coach and club look good and team parents happy with the W's While not being challenged |
Ball hog or talented, distinction important. Maybe the midfielders and wingers are the talent. Context important unless this is ulittles then who cares anyway. |
Yes, pushing to 11v11 early is a sign the club values winning and what it does for the club brand over individual development. More touches and more decisionmaking in small spaces 9v9. Europe plays even more small sided even later. Hard to argue with their results. |
What's a ball hog? |
Gets the ball, refuses to pass, and whose sole objective is to get off a shot any time they can team be damned. |
Not here recommending anything. That’s for coaches/clubs. My point is that if club recommends playing up and family decides it’s right for them, it’s on the kid that is dropped or losing minutes to compete and earn back spot and minutes. |
Awesome qualities that good coaches love to see |
Winter ECNL ID sessions announced today seems new, especially announced in January. |

Bethesda, as every other club in the area, is a freaking joke. This area has some of the most talented players in the country. A few very good coaches. And terrible clubs. The problem is the system. There’s no future here, unless you quit the system and stick to a coach who cares, guest play around the country, and try to look for opportunities abroad if your passport allows it. Otherwise, forget about soccer and play lacrosse.

It is very negative, toxic, not American but 100% accurate. |
Can only be 100% accurate if no player from DC, Maryland or Virginia suburbs has never made it to professional soccer |
