Assume DC teams got manhandled by Philly, NY and Baltimore (unless they played their C teams). |
100% |
In 2022 Maryland had 18 players from MD and 7 from NY. Now it has 13 players from MD and 11 from NY. I'm not sure where to make of that, but I do know it is ridiculous for the parent of a random 8th grader to suggest that Maryland is somehow not a top women's lacrosse program. |
YJ MA did. BLC lost in championship to Boston's Phinest after beating Alliance, STEPS California, Southern Stars, and Concept. |
Fact: UMD has historically had one of the largest rosters of Baltimore-area players. Fact: UMD is tied with Clemson as having the most Balto-area players on its roster (13) of any T25 team Fact: UMD was #2 in 2022 and has slid 10 spots to #12 in 4 years |
Is YJ MA the richmond YJ, or a national team for all the mid atlantic YJ's? |
its the local program for the DMV area. Yellow Jackets south is the ricmond team. YJ doesnt have national teams |

Here’s some facts:
Of Marylands 15 commits from the 2026-2027 class, 5 are from Maryland (4 are Hero’s including HC daughter) 6 are from NY So to sum it up 1 of out 15 commits to MD in last two years were from state of MD that weren’t on Hero’s. |
Who is Bostons Phinest? |
| Most of the teams participating were not top teams ie: Alliance is ranked 89. |
| Alliance National, Southern Stars, Boston’s Phinest are all National/Tournament not local teams. |
| Still, the talent was lacking. Almost no top local teams went. |
It’s a hike and expensive, you aren’t going out there to play top teams, more of a vacation and experience. |
| LOL |
Was the experience worth it? |
