You know you can buy better masks right?

You know that for over a year every child has been forced to walk around with a stupid, pointless piece of cloth over their faces to satisfy the superstitions of a small group of control freaks, right?

The arlington diocese will be making a political statement if they defy if.

Or a health statement.

As a parent at BI I'm really disgusted. My DD has been completed turned off by the Catholic aspects of her high school experience is even now starting research other Christian religions that are more inclusive and in line with her beliefs. She also is refusing to consider Jesuit colleges that otherwise would be a good fit for her. I'm starting to agree with her. This church is so out of step with this generation. And then this? This is not an ethical decision, nor one based in science (masks are the only tool we have to stop the spread of the virus at time when rates of transmission are sky rocket high!) It is a political decision, putting personal freedom over the interests of your fellow man. The schools' intense focus on abortion versus death penalty is the same - driven by politics. I'm totally regretting sending my child to this school.

And I will add that teacher turnover has been a huge problem that is now going to be far worse. Great Job Arlington Diocese for showing my child why she should leave the Catholic Church.

It sounds like you/your daughter were out of step with the church well before this masking issue. I’m sure you can find any number of public and private schools that will promote the more liberal viewpoints you are seeking.

Goodbye. You have plenty of other schools to choose from that to not adhere to the teachings of Christ and the Church. Enjoy transgender story hour. Don’t forget your cloth mask and tinfoil hat.

Nice Christian attitude there.

Ok Tinfoil Tilley…. You are getting repetitive and you sound nuts an unhinged. Just stop.

PP here. I was responding to the mask hater in 21:10. Total nut.

This feels like the beginning of the end of forced child masking in the DMV. What bricks will fall next?!

I’m Catholic and a parent of Catholic school children…. I’m not following the rationale of the Archdiocese.

Is the Archdiocese’s stance that health decisions (in this case, masks) a matter of personal freedom?

Sorry, which part of the Bible speaks to masks or science-based health? I’ll read to again.

Told my kids to wear a mask if teacher wearing a mask. If teacher not wearing a mask, their choice.

The fact that the arlington diocese schools successfully taught in person throughout the 2020-2021 school year seemed to have zero impact in encouraging public schools to follow suit so I can’t imagine their mask policy will be any different.
