Can we boycott Georgia?

Player def. weighed in, there are interviews.

MLB cannot afford to alienate half of its athletes.

Do you think Hank Aaron Jackie Robinson did what they did, only to have the likes of Gov. Kemp take it all away while players of color sit on their hands today?

"One could understand a flub in a news conference. But then this same claim popped up in an official presidential statement. Not a single expert we consulted who has studied the law understood why Biden made this claim, as this was the section of law that expanded early voting for many Georgians.

Somehow Biden managed to turn that expansion into a restriction aimed at working people, calling it “among the outrageous parts” of the law. There’s no evidence that is the case. The president earns Four Pinocchios."

And, as a result, the MLB decision was based on lies.

But why would the President deliberately lie and demand that MLB move the all-star game from Georgia? Did he not know this would hurt the Atlanta economy?

MLB was going to do this irrespective of Biden's comments.

And you don't think MLB players and attorneys aren't able to read the law that was passed and come to their own conclusions?

I don't know why MLB players and attorneys would bother to do it if the "experts" on DCUM and in the White House haven't.
And, from what I understand, the players and coaches were not consulted on their opinions. Not surprising. Leave it to some suits in their ivory towers to make the woke decision.

I’ll take “woke” over the lying, cheating GOP any day.

Hank Aaron is revered pretty much by everyone in the Atlanta area, and the Braves do not want to play elsewhere.

Yes, Hank Aaron as a public figure is public domain. However, HOW she is using him is completely dishonest and unethical.

Hank Aaron was a long-time supporter of minority rights, plus fighting for civil rights and civil rights organizations such as the NAACP. For Loeffler to say "At a time when the MLB had the opportunity to honor an iconic trailblazer in Hank Aaron they instead opted to honor politics" is completely disingenuous. MLB's decision to protest the racist voting laws that Georgia just enacted is the very essence of honoring Hank Aaron's memory and personal beliefs.

She is being competely disrespectful of his legacy to try and cast protests against the Georgia Republicans voting law as dishonoring his legacy and memory.

You won't get an answer to this from liberals.
He lied for a few reasons. First, he was told to. By Stacey Abrams, Ossoff and Warnock. And, his handlers. Secondly, the Democrats definitely don't want photo id. It will reduce their vote - not by disenfranchising anyone, but by severely reducing fraud. And, lastly - he desperately wants HR1 to pass. What better way than trying to drum up support from his base by lying about the law, calling it "Jim Crow on steroids" and implying that states just can't be responsible enough to pass voting laws. Many people who heard his lies actually believe him.
And, yes, he knew it would negatively impact the Atlanta economy. He doesn't care. He is probably secretly encouraging the MLB to have the game in a deep blue state to help with their economy. This is the "uniter" he said he'd be. Lots of buyer's remorse going on right now between his "less than moderate" positions and his promise to "be a uniter."

Still flogging that fraud story. Despite all of the failed attempts to find it.

So in your mind, MLB are just a bunch of "woke" suits willing to kowtow to whomever on a whim.

Got it.

Sens Warnock and Ossoff as well as Stacey Abrams have not called on a boycott of Georgia over the voter suppression bill. Abrams asked MLB to reconsider its All-Star Game decision. All of these boycotts are on Gov. Kemp and this isn't the first time his policies have hurt Georgia jobs.

Were there no democrats, democrat media personalities, or democrat celebrities call for a boycott?
