Biden gets 4 Pinocchios for lying about the Georgia voting law in the Washington Post: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2021/03/30/biden-falsely-claims-new-georgia-law-ends-voting-hours-early/ "One could understand a flub in a news conference. But then this same claim popped up in an official presidential statement. Not a single expert we consulted who has studied the law understood why Biden made this claim, as this was the section of law that expanded early voting for many Georgians. Somehow Biden managed to turn that expansion into a restriction aimed at working people, calling it “among the outrageous parts” of the law. There’s no evidence that is the case. The president earns Four Pinocchios."
And, as a result, the MLB decision was based on lies.
But why would the President deliberately lie and demand that MLB move the all-star game from Georgia? Did he not know this would hurt the Atlanta economy?
You won't get an answer to this from liberals. He lied for a few reasons. First, he was told to. By Stacey Abrams, Ossoff and Warnock. And, his handlers. Secondly, the Democrats definitely don't want photo id. It will reduce their vote - not by disenfranchising anyone, but by severely reducing fraud. And, lastly - he desperately wants HR1 to pass. What better way than trying to drum up support from his base by lying about the law, calling it "Jim Crow on steroids" and implying that states just can't be responsible enough to pass voting laws. Many people who heard his lies actually believe him. And, yes, he knew it would negatively impact the Atlanta economy. He doesn't care. He is probably secretly encouraging the MLB to have the game in a deep blue state to help with their economy. This is the "uniter" he said he'd be. Lots of buyer's remorse going on right now between his "less than moderate" positions and his promise to "be a uniter."
