So who here went to the ballet coronavirus party?

People that don’t have great health insurance or the luxury of working from home in a pandemic. Getting that call that you’ve been directly exposed is terrifying - and the stress she put on others because of her careless party is disgusting. I’m frustrated that the city of DC isn’t investigating this and our contact tracing system is so incredibly bad that there was no way to protect us who live and raise kids around her. Millies patio has been packed, compass and Starbucks too. If you have taken the time to comment here - take the time to also demand the city looks into this - we should know how many people have it because of this. How bad it ended up being. There are rumors flying around about confirmed cases but we need answers. I’m sure many saw a party in NY investigated and offered subpoenas for people at a party who would not give info to contact tracers. If there is a prayer that our kids go to school in the fall we have to get our contact tracing figured out in this city - maybe it starts with this. This party and how she handled it after getting a pos was selfish and plain stupid.

How she handled it by having a party after getting tested, and being filmed indoors without masks for the party after getting tested.
Why was she tested? Someone willing to throw a COVID party who doesn't even offer masks to her guests would not get tested without a very strong reason. I want to know that reason.

She got tested BEFORE THE PARTY because she didn’t feel great and thought she might have it. Plain and simple.

Can you clarify whether this is scuttlebutt knowledge, informed knowledge or a logical guess? "Didn't feel great" sounds like a reason to get tested for someone who takes COVID seriously and went grocery shopping without a face shield. It doesn't sound like enough of a reason for someone who throws COVID parties for several dozen people and hosts summer camps. Unless "doesn't feel great" is a euphemism for some actual symptoms.

I hope the caterer paid the staff wages for two weeks.

I hope Bronczek paid the staff two weeks wages.

Honestly, the stupidity of having (or attending) an in person party in violation of DC phase I guidelines for how many people can gather while chairing a VIRTUAL fundraiser, is mind-boggling -- not only the scientific/health stupidity but also the political stupidity. Clearly, she didn't learn much from Grandpa Lloyd Hand.

There is so much wrong with the descriptions -- two dozen guests not wearing masks, rounds of 8-10, also runs a "backyard summer camp" for friends, slow to report her test results to attendees, etc.

I would have some sympathy for the fact that she didn't have a fever until after her party, except that by the date of the fundraiser (mid-June), it was extremely clear that asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic transmission occurs.

She is a a socialite.

Washington doesn’t have enough “It” girls as it is, and now Ashley Taylor is off the market. Last Saturday — on her 29th birthday — boyfriend Matt Bronczek popped the question.

The granddaughter of former chief of protocol Lloyd Hand and jeweler Ann Hand moved to D.C. six years ago to manage Hand’s boutique and model in the store’s ads. The glamorous blonde quickly became a leading figure on the young professional social scene, chairing benefit galas and founding her own charity to donate prom dresses to needy students.

She attracted even more headlines for a high-profile romance with the three-decades-older multimillionaire real estate investor Joe Robert. During their rocky two-year courtship, the pair got engaged and set two wedding dates before finally calling it quits in 2008.

As the Bobs would ask.... What would you say...you do here?

Okay, I was curious to see what he does so I looked him up online. It looks like until they got married he was an Account Exec at FedEx, and then suddenly was the President and Principal Partner of a developer? Is that weird? I know so little about the lives of rich socialites...

His family OWNS fedex.

I knew a fair number of very wealthy kids in college. The bright ones usually landed a consulting or analyst gig (in New York mostly) for their 20s and then by 30 they usually went off to be a private investor, or partner in some low key real estate development company where they play around at development. Easy life certainly.

They don’t OWN fedex. His dad was president of the company {second in command to Fred Smith} but was replaced last year. The kids have package planes named after them.

So what info did you get from DC Gov when you called them about this party?

I wish a guest at the party would do an AMA.

When I got my COVID test due to my my exposure to a guest at this party (I was not at this party.), they told me to self quarantine as much as you can and wear mask in your house to protect people around you until the result is back. Guess she didn’t get this memo. Or ignored it. Terrible.

Man, this article is really soft on her. Rich people always get a pass. Ugh.

Maybe the contact tracers can use this method to get people to talk: subpoenas

Any actual confirmation on people getting the virus at this party or is it still rumours?

I could see "doesn't feel great" being accurate. Some people are still having a hard time getting a test in this country but she doesn't feel great and they give her one. I'm sure she never imagined that she could have it, but took the test. She probably didn't want to spoil the party or her mood by getting the results before the party - save that for after. So spoiled and out-of-touch with reality.

Me too, I bet there were hired "counselors."
