Biden's VP?

I honestly think she would be a liability when on the ticket. She has not had all her skeletons picked thru by the conservative media machine. It would be one fake story after another.

I think Warren is a stronger VP as she would bring a lot of energy from the left and white suburban women who are eager to see a woman in the White House.

Quayle, Gore, Cheney, Biden, and Pence are all known for their winning personalities.

Democrat women are treated much differently by the conservative media machine than men. No need to pretend there isn't a double standard.

And Biden is nothing but personality. He's not a brain trust; he appeals to the emotions. Even Gore was more relatable and outgoing than Harris.

And you know damn well the voters give gruff Republican men a pass over women. It's not fair, but it's the reality of the crappy world we live in.

+1, sadly

I secretly pray that when he isn’t hanging out with Richard Branson, he is keeping his eyes peeled in this way.

Oh I think he is. I also think he's behind the other moderates' quick endorsement of Biden--supposedly he spoke with them. He's being careful to remain behind the scenes but I believe he is very much involved based on his desire to do what is possible to block a Trump second term.

Love those quiet corridor conversations! This is the side of leadership that puts the greater good over self. Very inspiring.

Obama hung out with Branson once upon invitation to spend the weekend at Branson's island.

Branson hangs with a MUCH younger group of partying jetsetters. It's not as creepy as Epstein, but there is a lot of fawning over him by gaggles of younger women (think late 20s to 30s). Branson leads a playboy lifestyle, which is so not Obama's thing.

Given Branson's reputation, Obama would be smart to keep his distance. Which I think he has done since that initial invite to go to the island.

He would happily pick Kamala.

He said she had a great future, and indicated she would be considered for VP or AG. One thing I genuinely like about Biden is he does not hold grudges.

I agree that Amy is a better VP candidate than Kamala. If Biden is the Dem nominee, it will be largely bc of the black vote rallying behind him. And CA is a given for the Dems. There is really only a handful of states that decide the Presidency.
To beat Trump, he needs to make sure he gets those midwest swing states - WI, MN, PA, OH.

She’s good at explaining policy where BIden is not. She’s good with quips. She doesn’t get ruffled easily (unlike Klobuchar did). She is taking down Bloomberg for Biden. BIden can put her in charge of the anti-corruption task force.

I'd LOVE this. Don't think it will happen though.

Last night showed that Warren has very little draw. I do like her, so it hurts to say. But, it’s plain as day.

No, last night showed that Bernie was a lunatic spoiler. Had he, Mr Unelectable, not run, millions wouldn’t have flown from Warren to Biden, but they did because no one wants to see gloomy Bernie lose it all in Novme.

Bernie pledged not to run in 2020, but he just couldn’t keep his ego quiet. Warren would have cleaned up.

The question now for Biden is can he ignore the leftist activists in the party?

In other words, is anti-Trump sentiment so high that he doesn't need to cater to the left? If so, then he doesn't need to bring someone like Warren in as the VP. He will know that so many on the left will be casting a vote in November to toss out Trump

Similarly, is it essential for him to nominate a non-white VP? Or are POC voters going to come out in droves to get rid of Trump, regardless of the excitement generated by a black or Latino VP?

Personally, this feels like an anti-Trump tsunami election. I feel like Biden could nominate Bloomberg as his VP and people of every color and class would be coming out in droves to toss Trump.

I really, really hope the Biden team has Obama involved in these discussions.

Jill Biden and Symone Sanders can just keep tackling them.

Bernie is indeed the spoiler. He jumped in AFTER Warren. He has a massive ego.

I agree .. there were a lot of people who would have preferred Warren but who voted for one of the two front runners because they have strong feelings one way or the other between the candidates.

It’s okay. It all works out for good. Everyone has a role. Growth demands change, so I’m not too angry. Every step is closer to a bigger vision of a brighter and more colorful future. Now ... we need to quickly cool off the Earth.

I've said this before, but Bernie is the Barry Goldwater of this generation.

He's not a great candidate, a mediocre politician when it comes to results, and terrible at building coalitions. But his ideas will long outlive him and influence American politics for decades to come.
