Three kids dying in a house fire because you're too stupid to not put ashes outside and douse them with water?? No working smoke detectors in a wood frame house under construction?? Cognitively, those aren't accidents. Those seem like avoidable if only's perpetrated by otherwise smart, decent human beings. That's hard to swallow.

I just learned that Borcino took the blame initially, but later admitted the mom was responsible. I think he was trying to protect her from the media.

That story is a complete mess. In his final deposition he claims it might have been electrical because sparks were shooting out of the house 20-30’ in the back. He then disappeared. Seems he moved to New Jersey and was working on post Hurricane Sandy construction. He also died in 2017. So the three kids, 2 grandparents, the children’s father, and now the boyfriend have all died, wow.
