Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS)
As long as everyone, boys, girls, or transkids, can use that room. |
My goodness, does nobody ever read the news report, even when it's posted right there in the thread? They are not getting rid of all single-gender bathrooms. THEY ARE LOOKING INTO THE COSTS AND LOGISTICS OF ADDING SOME ALL-GENDER BATHROOMS. If you think that's an intolerable threat to girls and women, I don't know what to say. |
Yes, hence, I said unisex. |
I have no problem with that. But honestly - is that really going to help the transkids, if everyone are using those unisex rooms? |
Why wouldn't it? I thought their issue was that they don't feel comfortable going to a bathroom that is designated to a specific gender? And honestly, I think most kids would continue to go to the regular restrooms anyway. |
Yup, You can't make this up. |

Guess diva cups are no longer an option.
Isn’t prohibiting choice of menstrual protection some sort of sexual discrimination or harassment? |
Funny. My body my choice means I don't want to share bathroom with people with penises and biologically actually male. |
1. You don't have to wash them every time. 2. A single-user all-gender bathroom, like the kind they are talking about adding, would have the additional benefit of being useful to Diva Cup users who do want to wash them. A perfect example of how universal design helps everyone. |
Dear cislady, please use language correctly, don't just make things up and expect everyone to care about your cisfeelings. Bathrooms for boys are for boys. Bathrooms for girls are for girls. Unisex bathrooms are free for all. The End. |
No, that's not want it means. Any more than "my body, my choice" means "I don't want to have pizza for dinner tonight" or "I don't want to walk to the park, I'd rather drive." |
“This means no girls’ rooms and no boys’ rooms — just restrooms,” she said. |
ONE parent said that, not the administration. Administration said they would look at the cost and feasibility of adding some unisex bathrooms. If you don't know the difference between a random parent and official statements from MCPS, I don't even know what to do with that. |
My body my choice means I CHOOSE what to do with my body, and my DD for hers -- not some self-appointed SJW sexuality committee. |
Well, if you're going to quote something, quote it right, "Montgomery County Public Schools, Maryland’s largest school system, plans to look into the cost of of putting more “all-gender” bathrooms in schools." Zuckerman said he would soon be able to provide more information about the potential cost and logistics of adding more all-gender bathrooms to schools, |
