It's only season two and so far we have:
2 illegitimate kids (PJ and Charlie) 2 affairs (Delilah and Eddie; John and Barbara) 2 people with cancer (Gary and Maggie) one guy with a substance abuse problem (eddie) 1 suicide (John) 1 case of depression (Romy) 1 phobia (maggie, driving) the threat of divorce; possible incest (if PJ sleeps with his sister) a near bankruptcy a car crash organ donation The lost dog is the least of their problems! Also, Maggie seems too dumb to get a fellowship at Oxford. It feels like lazy writing -- just give everybody an issue or a problem. |

Oh my gaaaaaaaaaaaahd.
This week's episode was the most cringe-worthy yet I believe. All of the dramatic parts were just over-acted and ugh, just not actually emotional. And Maggie, please go away. And take "D" with you. |
Maggie’s character makes me nuts. And Eddie’s little boy? They have him infantilized. Don’t forget they also have a gay teenager too. |
I think now we need to amend the list to 3 suicide attempts, 1 successful And it would be 2 cases of depression-- Rome and PJ-- unless we think John was also depressed. I haven't been able to tell if John had depression or not. Also add 1 spouse in a vegetative state |
|
And wait, there have been multiple car crashes:
Maggie's brother, killed Organ recipient guy's fiancé, killed Sophie, fender bender Catherine, a little more than a fender bender Or am I remembered some of this wrong? |
|
That "D" told her kids about the affair/paternity without ever talking to a mental health professional makes me crazy. Why isn't that entire family in counseling?
I don't think Kathryn and Eddie were in the right here. I think they should know, but they basically bullied Delilah and it was crappy. I hate Maggie. And who was Jason Ritter's character talking to on the phone at the end about her moving out? Is his heart transplant failing? |
|
Ok, its official. I hate PJ as much, if not more than I hate Maggie.
Can they fall in love and move away???? Please??? |
I didn't even think of that. We won't find out until January 23rd. What about Gina agreeing to have a child? "I want to save someone too." Um, what?! I predict her restaurant fails. Lord these people. |
Yeah, that's not the reason you adopt a child if you've otherwise not wanted to be a mother. Good grief. |
| I’ve missed the last few episodes, who is in a vegetative state? And who is PJ’s father if not John or Barbara’s husband? |
Andrew’s wife. He has been out of the picture since they revealed that, not sure why. Pj’s father is Dave, Jon’s college friend who was killed in the hijacked 9/11 plane that Jon was supposed to be on. |
Thanks pp, I guess it’s been more than a few episodes because I don’t even know who Andrew is! |
He's the "widower" and restauranteur that Delilah met while pumping gas who is now advising Gina on her restaurant. Turns out he's not a widower but finds it awkward to explain that his wife in is in a vegetative state so just tells acquaintances that she's dead. Two episodes ago, Delilah confessed that the baby was Eddie's, not Jon's, so Andrew reciprocated by revealing the truth about his wife and took D to see her. |
Thanks! This does ring a bell |
| What do people think is the mystery with “transplant guy” forgot his name? |
