Exactly. It's the children who suffer more than anyone. So many of our children have been made to endure the pain of broken families.

How can this be addressed?

As a child of divorced parents I can assure you that kids are resilient and as long as parents conduct themselves with integrity and the kids' interests in mind, kids can be a-ok. Sometimes parents and kids are happier when the parents are divorced. Living in a home with two unhappy parents is awful.

Scaramucci seems like an SOB who couldn't be bothered to attend his child's birth. So, question whether he's going to be father of the year material ... or really even anything remotely resembling a father other than the sperm he brought to the equation.

All of this is true. But you have 1-in-50 chance of raising a "resilient" healthy child when there's a contentious divorce and the media is watching your every move. These kids are going to be f#cked when they read articles 10 years from now. about the crazy sh#t their dad did and said, how he treated their mother, his slavish loyalty to Trump over their mother, etc.

That's the thing- Trump has provided a wonderful example of how kids can thrive despite divorce, so it's getting harder for me to get worked up about it. He is breaking taboos and barriers, one at a time.

Thing is... Trump was smart enough to marry women who became devoted mothers. He wasn't depending on his wife's earning potential in the rat race. One parent doing that is enough.

Ms Trump #2 was unceremoniously dumped right before the deadline that would have given her more money in the prenup. As reported, hers and Tiffany's lives weren't at all luxurious. Ms Trump #3 has a diamond-clad prenup.

But who knows? Maybe you are right. Maybe men ARE just ATMs - not husbands, fathers, caring partners. Who needs that. Just give them the money.

I really don't think anyone on this thread is saying what you wrote. Of course, men should be far more than ATMs. Given that he hasn't been there for his kids as much as he should, we're saying that he picked wives who turned out to be devoted moms. Plenty of women and men have a ton of money but aren't really there for their kids.

You are saying "if only more women could find men like this." (Assuming it was you). So you are in fact saying that it's desirable behavior to dump your wives and take no part in your young children's lives - as long as you compensate them well and make it unnecessary for them to work. Is it?

How old are the kids? Scaramucci is 53 years old and has only been married for 3 years. No mention of kids in the article.
