DD is so self conscious, and says kids mention her hairy legs when they sit in the circle during class. (She claims they are not teasing per se, but I'm sure they are not saying positive things.) She even went the first few days warm weather insisting on wearing her jeans from the winter. She is normally so outgoing and confident. I feel sorry that it makes her not be herself. (She also has fine hair in the small of her back and on her arms. )

Not sure I would trust a harsh chemical product around someone so young. Couldn’t she just start shaving?

My DD began shaving at 10. She is fair and really didn't need to in my view, but she felt strongly about it and I was not going to oppose her on that.

How about a bikini wax next?

When I was a little older, maybe 15 or so, I went to the beach with some friends and got teased because of my generous upper thigh hair. So, yeah, maybe a bikini wax.

To confirm what someone said upthread - at menopause you can stop shaving, or maybe once a month or so. The hair disappears.
