No, I had them all put into my uterus. |
And they all died! Can you imagine a scenario where, if five 6-month-olds died in someone's care, they wouldn't at least be investigated? If fetus = baby, shouldn't the state be examining your culpability? Or at least your fitness as a mother? |
You are really going off the deep end now. |
Hey, I'm just taking PP's position to its logical conclusion. If embryo or fetus = baby, then it always does, not just when it's convenient for pro-lifers. |
Lady, you are cornfused. I am sorry b/c it seems you have a shaky moral foundation and therefore are twisted up in your logic and emotion. I can extrapolate to see why people like you, who appear so angry and emotional and defensive, think abortion is okay, then. Child dies at the hand of God/fate/nature -- whether in womb or not -- no human interference = no human culpability Child des at the hand of human interference -- whether in womb or not = human culpability |
So if all your dreams come true and abortion becomes illegal in all circumstances, how will the authorities determine which woman had a miscarriage and which woman had an abortion? Shouldn't all spontaneous abortions, otherwise known as miscarriages, need to be investigated by the authorities then? |
I'm pro-choice, but this is a terrible argument, and not what has happened in the multitude of other countries where abortion is, unfortunately, illegal. Lots and lots and lots of other unfortunate effects. But leave the IVF poster alone - she clearly tried to act in line with her particular ethics. I wish we could all agree that she should be able to legally force that on others, but it seems to me that she did her best given her circumstances. |
* "shouldn't" be able to force her ethics on others. Oops. |
You're rather young, aren't you? Take it from someone who has been around long enough to see things like this move full circle. This is no "back story." It's the reality of what often happens when feelings/ thinking evolves as we mature. |
It's becoming unclear who is arguing with who or what viewpoint, but the suggestion that as we mature, our politics inevitably go one way is tired and offensive. |
I don't judge people nor do I comment on other women's choices regarding their own bodies so I guess the answer is "none". |
Sorry, me again, I don't judge people with regard to abortion/health care ... of course I judge people outside of that, I'm human and not out to pretend I'm better than anyone else. Some of you should think about that and give a try! |
This is not even cogent, and certainly isn't the "logical" conclusion of anything. I'm not even arguing with you or or one of the PPs, but this is just nonsense. |
