This thread is gold. Pure gold. The gifs, the inspirational quotes, everything. This thread is dcum at its best. |
I saw something like this last weekend. My friend's TEN year old son started jumping in a bounce house with shoes on. The lady running it yelled over the screaming kids to remind him to take his shoes off. The boy then got off the bounce house and sat on the ground blubbering. By the time his mom found him he was so wound up. He told mom that a lady was "mean" to him. So my friend being the cool and collected lady she is, marched over and tore this woman up oneside and down the other. She actually made the woman start to cry, and my friend asked her why she felt that she needed to be so very harsh to this sweet boy. I was so embarassed. Even though I witnessed everything, my friend would not listen to me. She kept saying "you would be pissed if this was your kid." I would have been pissed, but at my son for being a whinny boo. |
It was a drive by pineconing. Time to sell the house. |

It would save me from terminal boredom while I recover from surgery. And then it would let me know when to duck, lest a pinecone come my way. Tacky is the point, love. |
OP, you will get yours. Everyone knows that YOU posted this on DCUM. Karma is a bitch. |
Not the OP but WTF? Making threats?? |
When I was a kid I was close to an older cousin. Her husband had just gotten his car painted and was on the way home when a kid threw a handful of gravel on his car. He stopped the car, spanked the kid and continued on his way. At the local store a few days later the kids father apologized for his son damaging the car. |
You seriously consider that to be a threat? Does your child happen to throw pine cones? |
I think that the list serve poster would be much more comfortable if she took the pine cone out of her ass. |
I strongly discourage anyone from throwing pinecones, and parents not taking responsibility for their own kids. But "you will get yours" is a commonly known threat that can get you in serious trouble. |
OP -- catty and gutless.
Like "mean girls" in middle school, printing someone's post from listserve where (presumably) you have to post your name, to anonymous forum where you don't have to self-identify. |
Maybe the pine cone mom will see this and feel humiliated. Maybe she'll learn the lesson I'm trying to teach my 13-yr old who just got a phone. Once you hit "send," it's out there forever. Don't post it on your neighborhood listserve if you don't want it to turn up on DCUM, Facebook, etc. So, not a lot of sympathy there.
Frankly, I'm still stuck on how one can be removing a pine cone from a carseat and "accidentally" hit a passing car with it. ![]() |
What adult vents his anger on a six year old? |
