Cory Booker – Obama-style moral optimism with Clinton-era coalition instincts.
Josh Shapiro – Classic Clintonian pragmatism: swing-state appeal, bipartisan tone, electoral discipline.
Gavin Newsom – Clinton-like charisma and political agility; strong media fluency.
Rahm Emanuel – Hard-edged Clintonian operator: transactional, strategic, results-focused.
Wes Moore – Obama-adjacent narrative leadership: aspirational, disciplined, unity-focused.
Michael Bennet – Technocratic, low-drama, Obama-era governing ethos.
Terry McAuliffe – Pure Clinton DNA: coalition politics, donor fluency, electoral pragmatism.
Pete Buttigieg – The strongest Obama analogue: cerebral, calm, rhetorically precise, norms-oriented.

VP Picks
Elizabeth Warren – Policy-heavy progressive populism; structural critique of capitalism with academic rigor.
Sherrod Brown – Labor-first, anti-corporate economic populism with Midwest credibility.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – Generational Sanders figure: moral clarity, populist framing, movement energy.
Amy Klobuchar – Clinton-style competence, incrementalism, and Midwestern credibility.

Alright savvy people of DCUM, how did ChatGPT do on this one? I'm not sure it got it wrong.

Clinton and Obama need to be scrubbed out of the party.

Democrats need to look forward

Yes! And Reagan and GHWB need to be scrubbed from the GOP. We need more Trumps and Biden! More Trumps and Biden! More Trumps and Bidens and more cowbell, please!

Clinton and nafta and Obama
And the TPP is the reason Trump won in the first place

Trump won in 2016 because he campaigned like an animal in the swing states and told those people whatever they wanted to hear to make swing voters swing his way after 8 years of Dem rule while their lives showed zero improvement. Trump then failed miserably and has been dud of a candidate since then losing to 77 year old Biden and then lucking into a Biden gifted 2024 victory. Trump and Biden have us craving more Obamas and Clintons; not less. At least this is the case for people with at least average or above intelligence.

Swing voters are less and less common these days. The swing states are those where you can make a difference by targeting people who are choosing between voting for your candidate and staying home.

I still like Tim Walz.

If you want to win, the ideal is a non-Californian version of Gavin Newsom.

So far maybe Mark Kelly, but that’s sad no one else is really emerging. But, they need to find someone or will lose.
Most of the dems just don’t have the leadership skills or charisma like Obama or Bill. Waltz is out. He’s seen as weak and the scandals in Minnesota will tank any campaign, Even if some is false.
Maybe a celebrity like a Mark Cuban type….

Legitimate POTUS candidates "emerge" during the primary season. Be patient. On January 1st 2006 people thought John Edwards and Joe Biden would give HRC a run for her money during the 2008 primary. By January of 2008, it was clear that Edwards and Biden were two-bit hack politicians going nowhere fast and HRC and Obama were clearly the cream of the crop.

We can't risk that. Let the party elders decide.

Yea, the last time the people chose, we elected our most recent successful two term president. When we let the mega-donors get their way, Trump-Biden-Trump happens. Let's let the people choose from a crowded field of primary contenders with the outcome being free of manipulation.

Here are a few:

First Female President (Multiple Interesting Possibilities)

First Gay President (Mayor Pete)

Boring White Guy, Little Known Midwestern State Governor, Attempt to Appeal to Centrist and Men who stopped voting for Democrats (Beshear, Shapiro, etc.)

Hard-charging realist a la Rahm Emanuel, here to crack some heads and get Dems back on track

Young Up-and-Coming Unknown (Wesley Moore)

Nepo Baby (Chelsea Clinton, Hunter Biden, Ella Emhoff, etc.) Name recognition matters. A lot.

Squad Leader (AOC)

Evil Emperor (Gavin Newsom)

Which TYPE(S) would be most viable?

A Wesley Moore/Gretchen Whitmer ticket can win.

Just about any Dem ticket will be able to win in 2028 thanks to Trump’s sorry unpopular ass being sitting POTUS. This, along with many others, is a winning 2028 ticket. Let's hope to see the best of the best compete in the primary and the cream will rise. We need a two term POTUS this go around.

Change of Minnesota state flag to Somali's like flag is not false, take a look at both flags and an old Minnesota flag.

Running a celebrity will be copy cat from Republican celebrity candidate. We need someone intellectual.

You're a racist bigot turd. I can smell your stench through the internet.

DP.
You have a very high opinion of americans.
Are you under the impression america isn't filled with racist bigoted turds that would decline to vote for an indian or a Jew?

Clearly the answer is a transexual black lesbian who once ran for dog catcher.

I was responding to the idiot PP who said Indians and Jews couldn't be president. Crawl back under your MAGA rock.
Really, how many Dems are going to get enthusiastic about a Jew candidate right now, given all the Gaza sympathy in the party? Be realistic, are there any ties to Israel? If so, then it’s a no go. And, stop hiding behind the race card, it’s just lame and played far too often on this board.

Bernie sanders excited many voters and he’s Jewish. If the DNC didn’t cheat, he probably could’ve beat Trump
