Hopeful to have VDA and Union 2010s qualify tomorrow. What a strong showing from VA!

Forecast says highly unlikely, VA will be riding on Richmond 09 and VDA 08 for VA glory

What the heck happened to the 2012 team?

They didn't have their ringer that plays with them sometimes. You can see it in their scores during league play.
Based on what happened with PDA, I would be complaining. She's only allowed to play on one team.

Same club, same league. Just can’t play multiple games same day. It’s completely legit.

lol. It’s the same coach as the 2009s. The guy made sure to have the best teams at NVA then went to Richmond and made sure he had the best teams. RU 09 has always been a great team and has been to Richmond 3 of 4 years as pp stated.

Didn’t Richmond 2009 finish 5th in the Mid Atlantic last year?

Great improvement.

Some teams had easy groups, ECNL favors a couple of clubs in VA. It’d be bad if none of these clubs made the finals. You bet!

Richmond United and ECNL share staff. It’s no coincidence that if Richmond has a strong team, they somehow end up with a good draw. They don’t waste it on the mediocre teams, but if there is a really good Richmond team, like 09s, expect see to see a soft draw.

Sharing staff - don’t think that’s accurate at all.

RU 2009 did have Arizona Arsenal and Nationals in their group - not pushovers. Played FC Dallas in round of 16. Solid team with USYNT talent.

VDA 09 didn’t get any favors though with PDA in their group but the loss to Royals AZ hurt their shot at a wildcard.

Some surprises in 2009 - Royals AZ took out Solar and PDA was handled by KC Athletics.

There are no pushovers when you get to champions league but not all groups are not created equal. There’s a reason the playoff draw isn't live anymore. It’s pre-recorded. Everybody knows it, but nobody wants to say it. Certain clubs get priority over others.

This is accurate. Why do you think the finals are in Richmond, VA of all places?

Well. The finals might be in Richmond because ECNL HQ is there. Maybe the staff is also tired of traveling and there is a facility to host it? I don’t think it’s because they are favoring Richmond United of all clubs.

Why are the playoffs always in Seattle or San Diego?

East Coast weather is too unpredictable and there are thunderstorms. West Coast is easy.

If excited for their kids opportunity and success is living vicariously, then yes. Sad that you don’t celebrate your kids successes. But you do you.

Very true. San Diego is pretty much guaranteed to be 70 and sunny. Let’s hope it’s not 90F with 90% humidity in Richmond.

What opportunity and success? You don’t want to be pro in women soccer. You know the salaries unfortunately.
